hey guys, just a follow up a year later but how well has the inserts held up? is there any issue with them being tight or warped and how does it go when it comes to spills
@BoardOfItReviews7 ай бұрын
Do you mean the wooden boards? They've held up really well. When you first get the table you generally have some boards which fit weird together, so you might want them one orientation over another, but over time they begin to fit better and settle into position. Thankfully we haven't really had any major spills on the boards, but they've held up.

Hello, Is the speacial leaf has 2 sides, ? Reverse side? one "plain" and one with the holes (Sorry i'm french, it's difficult to ask in english, I hope you will understand what I'm asking :D)
@BoardOfItReviews Жыл бұрын
Hi, no problem! Yes the table comes with one special leaf with the holes on one side, the other side is normal (no holes). All other leaves are normal on both sides.

This looks like exactly the type I'm hoping to get in the future. Really useful review as it confirms what I've previously thought which is that it's awesome, expensive but an investment. Thank you.

Does anybody know that rail system is called? I’ve asked multiple hardware store and wood- and metalwork guys,but no one knows.

Not sure if it has a specific name - sorry!

Thanks, that was interesting - even though the tables are way out of my price range, it gave me some ideas for woodwork projects :)

What's legroom like for playing and eating, 63cm doesn't seem that high from the ground?
@BoardOfItReviews10 ай бұрын
Completely fine, 63 cm is a pretty average table high. Our chairs actually go totally under the table.
@neilwalker427710 ай бұрын
@@BoardOfItReviews thanks. I'm just checking my dining table and the tables are about same height 77cm, but legroom is higher because there's no vault, so a little worried if I bought one (thinking of the Megan Wing version, which I think is same as your Megan large)
@BoardOfItReviews10 ай бұрын
Sorry totally misunderstood. Just checked and our table is 77cm - I knew we had the lowest table height for the Megan, and it was fine for us (I thought you meant that as I couldn't remember the exact measurement). If you're looking at 63 cm then that would be a bit low I think. There is defo some wiggle room with the 77cm, it's not tight at all, but I wouldn't want to do 63cm personally.

@BoardOfItReviews thanks, I was at airecon the other day and tried them out, legroom is fine :) Sorry, one more question... most of their tables on show had the velvet insert in two parts creating a seam line right down the middle and I couldn't believe this was even a thing as it would ruin most games. I couldn't see any on yours, so maybe this is just on their cheaper models. Is yours one piece?

Nice table! I'll eventually be in the market for something like this. Apologies if I missed this, but what kind of wood is it made from? It looks like a lot of different types. Website just says they are "hardwood". If it doesn't say, that's cool.

Looks like an amazing table. Have been looking into getting one of these recently. What height did you choose? I see there are 3 height options
@BoardOfItReviews2 жыл бұрын
The normal one which I think is 77cm? It depends on your chairs, but that was the height of our last table so we knew it was fine!
@pm712412 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately none of these woodwork game table makers make tables where you can have more than 1 large game up for longer periods at the same time. I used to play in a club where we had a homemade huge table with a shelving system beneath to hold very large plates with games.
@BoardOfItReviews2 жыл бұрын
That sounds super cool!
@pm712412 жыл бұрын
@@BoardOfItReviews It was. And having such facilities really makes you get a lot more out of the larger longer games. One thing is having to find 6or 7 people to play a game, but if there's also logistical challenges (like mom not wanting you to occupy the living room table for 2+ weeks) then the chance of getting such games to the table becomes so low that it can't really justify buying them.
@merevaan2580 Жыл бұрын
And do you choose 77 for the height, or 80 ? :D
@BoardOfItReviews Жыл бұрын
We chose 77 it is a pretty standard table height. I think you'd only want 80 if your chairs are high or you're all really really tall
