I would recommend reviewing 45 North’s warranty. 14-15 seems high for such a pricey tire. I will be filing a warranty claim if my tire does that. I just bought these.

Trust me, i had made the claim on them saying 15-20 studs in ~30 days. It came back with a rubbish reply, saying its allowed 20 something studs to fall off each year.🤦🤦🤷

I just ordered the 29 version and I hope I will be able to use it. Last time I mounted the 27.5 it snowed so much I never got to enjoy them 🤣

Hey there, what's the weight of the tire?

Nice video!. The studs are really long, could it be that they are not imbedded deep enough?...

Hey thanks! That height is the actual bedded-in. I think because 45nrth uses a softer rubber compound to make it more pliable thus gaining more contact surface to the ground. The downside to it is that the rubber knubs are soft making it pliable to get these studs out of its seating, although it's been bedded-in for 70km on pavement. To date, i lost 110 XL studs since last winter ride.😫😒

@@padyegero You lost a hundred and ten?! Ohhh :( . I still think that they should be shorter, the fact that they protrude out of the knobs so much, gives a mecanical disadvantage, so to speak, the ice as more leverage on them, to pry them sideways and out of the knobs.

XL studs have a ton of bite. Wonder if you’d lose that many with regular concave studs. I just bought the same tires. I’m not going to replace lost studs with XL ones.
