Product Review: Tunisian Crochet Hooks: Review on 3 sets I currently own.

The Knitter’s Pride hook set is beautiful quality but unfortunately I hate it! In order to pull the yarn back through the stitch one has to be so exact with the angle the hook is held or the long part of the hook itself snags the yarn! I thought that I would hate the Denise set as the hook itself was rather short but found out that I liked it! It would be so helpful if the companies would sell a single hook and cord so people could find out which type of hook suits them. So for people who don’t have my problem with the Knitter’s Pride hooks I think they are a good buy and a lot cheaper than Clover or Tulip bamboo hooks. Thank you for this helpful video.

Thank you for that Roberta! Yeah. You are right. It would be very helpful if companies would sell single hooks like that for trying.. hopefully they take returns if you find out that you don’t like them. LOL. Most companies have that policy. I’m excited to try some new brands over the next few seasons as the weather cools. Hopefully I can have some more good product reviews for you guys. Take care, and God bless you abundantly.

Good morning Iv just come across ur vlog and may i say u r a great teacher as im new at crocheting, tunisian crochet also have dyslexic and never used these long crochet hooks with extra wire 4 long pieces of work b4 Do u have any hints tips 4 me? After watching ur vlog iv just ordered a set of crochet hooks with wireres on Please can i ask u if i make this size work piece that u have shown us and realize its to small so i make another one please can u show us and tell me how to join the 2 pieces together so i cann make a blanket? I use Denise hooks most of the time, they are the best but they are a wee bit short. The KP Tunisian hooks only go up to an 8mm which makes them not very useful bc in tunisian you go up 2 sizes anyway. The Chiaogoo Tunisian hooks go all the way up to a whopping 25mm with a fixed cord. They are really nice hooks but wood for me does better with a slippery yarn bc of that slight drag it has. So, it’s Denise hook/cords set and 19mm, 22mm and the 25mm Chiaogoo hooks for me.

Have you ever had the cord separate from the hook when working on a heavy afghan?

Hi, and thank you for your question. So to be honest, I’ve not used these hooks long enough to know if the cords come off or not, but I will say that they seem very sturdy, and the interchangeable knitting needles that I have stay put just fine. They are put on the same way as the interchangeable hooks. If something like this happens, I’ll be sure to add it to the description of the video. 😇
