Those cars and that Peterbilt really bring back my childhood from he 80's. All that Eldorado is missing is a set of horns on the front and it would be Texas oil Barron approved! Or fit for the antagonist of a popular TV show of the 80's 😉

Very cool vehicles. Some of the old Viking models are surprisingly good. I use Mini metals up front, and Micro machines way out in the back.

Nice review! I am an European watcher of your channel and Brekina is indeed a good manufacturer for H0 cars and road vehicles. Herpa is another one who does very nice cars but they are european too and I don't know how much of their catalog would fit American layouts.

The '75 Eldorado is likely a '76 Bicentennial edition. I won't complain any more about the price of 1/64 scale cars if Brekina is charging $25 for these. You get what you pay for, and excellent design especially the hood ornament, but if I were in the hobby, I'd be opting for models from Oxford Diecast's constantly expanding HO range. Besides, the Caprice seems like something Brekina has been making for decades, you'd think that they would have recouped all the investment for design and tooling.

I haven't gotten any of the Oxford vehicles yet. I have vehicles from several brands, a mix of die-cast and plastic. I'm sure I'll have to get more to populate my layout when I get it built. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!

Great review. I have the Eldorado and the Pete 359. I do think that the Pete 359 fifth wheel sits too high compared to other HO tractors.

There's a few small intermodal facilities that still use them, as Dan mentioned Sparks Yard still has a few, although I couldn't say 100% that they the exact same as the WoT Piggy Packer. Most big facilities switched to Mi-Jack Straddle Carriers years ago.

HO scale vehicles are getting better but many of the HO scale car manufacturers are overseas so the number of good quality classic American cars is small. Just like locomotives, these cars need to have a figure driving them. A car on a layout with no figure inside driving the car doesn't do anything for realism. The Cadillac is a bicentennial special edition. The pin stripes are out of scale but are representative of the actual car.

Thanks for the info on the Eldorado pinstripes. That's a good point about the drivers. I didn't try to open up any of the vehicles to see how hard it would be to add a driver or passengers. The convertible and the tractor would probably be the easiest in that regard. I may just display mine as parked vehicles. Thanks for watching!
