Dan is never coming back after that dash 9 error 🤣

Nah, I'm good. I wouldn't make jokes about it otherwise. It's good to laugh at ourselves sometimes. Thanks for watching!

Great tips as always! (Your ‘three-point-suspension’ truck configuration has been my choice ever since you first demonstrated it years ago.👍)

I'm glad you found the suspension tip helpful. It's not my invention, but works well. Thanks for watching!

Dan, you'll just have to bathe in WD-40 to remove the tar off your body, use shims between your toes to scrub with a small toothbrush ! 🤣 Good luck buddy and Cheers! P.S. Thanks for the remedies and fixes, most helpful. 👈😉

Dan, during disassembly I use old credit type cards cut into 1/4 wide strips to help hold the sides of the body shell away from the chassis.

That sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the tip and for watching!

Check out KV Models for some better brass sun shades.
@DanielCortopassiАй бұрын
I might have some. I have a bunch of parts from KV, and I really like their product line. Thanks for the tip and for watching!

@DanielCortopassi I have their shades on a couple of mine. Put them on way too early with a project and kept bending them before paint but they held up well.

Not watching a video I have a ? Planning on doing two C&O SD18 have shells. Planning on using Atlas SD24 mechanism Silver series, just received to set of Atlas RS4/5 tri mount trucks from Atlas, can I interchange the trucks and us the RSD4/5 trucks?
@DanielCortopassiАй бұрын
I'm not sure about the trucks. If the gearbox designs are similar it might work. If you already have the SD24 mechanisms I'd say to try it. It may also depend if the models are both the newer China made ones or the older Atlas versions. I think the RSD4/5 was originally made by Kato and the old SD24 was from one of the European companies if memory serves. Good luck with your project!

i have a walther's trainline GP15-1 loco that won't couple up to rolling stock properly after installing the included plows and the rear wheels hover over the rails when hooked up due to the "hose" on the freight hitting the plow. is there a longer coupler you'd recommend?
@DanielCortopassiАй бұрын
I've had that same issue with locomotives that I've installed aftermarket plows on. I usually use a Kadee 156 "scale" whisker coupler, which has a longer shank. If you prefer the old school size Kadees, the 149 whisker coupler would also work. Thanks for watching!
