Would love to mess with this but $400 + $65 antenna is too steep. Is it a necessary fee incurred by red tape? Or is that geniunely the cost of the materials? For the time being I'll unfortunately just have to keep throwing Apple air tags around.

It's really cool, but the monthly cost would need to be around USD $5/m to make it useful to most people wanting continuous monitoring. Probably only useful for big companies or people wanting to track for a limited time.
