Is it better for the suppressor cover to be slightly longer or shorter than the can? It’s impossible to find an exact match unless I pick a custom made option. AEM5 is 8.75” and I’m considering a 9” cover.

I’ve always heard downsize if they don’t have an exact match as you don’t want the end to hang over. I think they do custom sizes though as well??
