Thanks Kevin, I'm an avid SolidWorks user, but I like the sculpt mode of fusion 360 which is not present in SolidWorks. Most of the time you are restricted by software you use to create great aesthetically pleasing designs, depending on the amount of work you put in concept stages.That's where fusion 360 comes into play with its industrial centric modelling packages. I would appreciate if you can do a detailed video of larger product as I know there are many industrial designers out there would also be interested ..which would be more of a sculpted product (A drill machine ) which has more chiselled features. Great video ! wish to see more from you.

Hi, Sujay. Thanks for watching and commenting! I'm happy to see you're interested in more sculpting tutorials. I do have a few more in the works...and I plan on building up from some more basic tutorials to more complex/larger products. Interested in sculpting. I think it’s going to be the step towards making my mask. Don’t know though because you never mentioned it and did say surface modelling was the way forwards. Interested to hear your reply on this. Also really keen to see you do a video on making a mask. Do you also have a video showing you sending the design to 3d printer and the end part produced? Great to see that too. To visualise the whole process.
@ProductDesignOnline5 жыл бұрын
Hi, James. You could certainly use the Sculpting method for your mask. In short, the Surface Modeling technique provides a more accurate way of modeling. I always tell people that the idea of the sculpt workspace was to create ideas and iterations quickly; whereas, surface modeling is for final models to exact specifications. You could use the sculpt environment to explore the overall form for your mask and then use surface modeling to create the final object to scale. Cheers, Kevin :)

Hi, CHO성진. To change the orientation of the view cube you'll want to select your name in the upper righthand corner > preferences > then under the "general" tab you'll see about halfway through the list the option to set the "default modeling orientation." Set this to "Z up" > hit the apply button > then hit the okay button and everything should be the same as this tutorial. Cheers, Kevin :)
