Thanks for sharing the valuable information. But Cp, Cpk is used for Initial process study where for calculating variation, Rbar/d2 is used because in initial stage only variation is due to sampling causing within subgroup variation. And Rbar/d2 is considered more relevant. For long term, Pp, Ppk is used where s (Using RMS method) is used for calculating total process variation. This mistake of using Pp, Ppk for short term and Cp, Cpk for long term was done by Ford. And later on they realised the mistake and corrected it. This mistake I also did for a long time, once a person made me realise this mistake and I am thankful for that. You can refer Page no.131 and 203 of AIAG SPC Manual 2nd edition. I would love to listen to your comment.
