Good to hear production is progressing. You say “a bunch of 5.1s” but where are you really in the backlog? Getting out orders from early, mid, late 2022? Or getting into 2023 orders? My order is from April 2022.

That target has moved a few times, due to the decarb situation and a healthy percentage of this last batch of Magnacut having some contamination inside the steel. This next batch finishing up is hundreds of GSO-5.1s and we're ordering more materials to ensure we can just keep delivering them. For anyone wondering, yes, we have independent lab reports back now, it is in fact contamination within the magnacut steel that we have been seeing and the mill is aware of it. In light of this, there is no longer any grounds for them to litigate with us for defamation over going public with all this.

Is my order #18199 in that batch I ordered a edc 4 Elmax over the weekend and got it Wednesday wow what a knife I’ll be bringing it down to North Carolina next month as a camp knife and I’m sure it’s going to stand up to that high humidity and serve me well on my trip Thanks

Great to see the continued progress and thanks for the general update. With so many knife models and so few workers I wonder how you can ever get caught up. Guy, any update on the GSO-4.5 Bushcraft in Scandi: Böhler K890, my order number is #17751. That combo should be killer as a general Bushcraft knife and more obtainable since I made a changed from my original GSO 5.1 Magnacut to the 4.5 Bushcraft because of the Magnacut issues and wait time. Thanks for the update, but why are the GSO-10s so far behind other knives to get on the Blanchard grinder? Genuinely asking, not trying to give you a hard time. I feel I have been very patient for the last 5 years but not knowing when I'm going to get my knife is frustrating. I'll keep trying to be patient & am still really excited to eventually get both of my pre-orders.

We do have answers, and Niagara has backed off any threats of litigation. Today is the quiet day in the shop, where I'm able to do focused work, so I will try to make a overview video on that.
