Very good, but what about insurance with the tow hitch? I understand that under EU law tow hitches cannot be fitted to vehicles where the manufacturer has not mandated it. Nissan did not and that's why Leafs on the US can tow and not those I'm EU. Is this wrong? Can this be done legally. I would have the lot done if so!

Just put in Mitsubishi Outlander batteries +2 modules to match the voltage of the leaf.now sorting canbus. Any update on those rear coil springs?

They're still the property of the cars' owners, so they decide! One will be used for home storage, Jite's battery will probably be sold, my battery is going to serve future projects in the company and the battery we're going to extract tomorrow is already for sale on second life storage.

Is it allowed to tow something with this towhitch if manufacturer haven't made the towing capacity in CertificateOfConfirmity ? But it would be a great idea to attach a trailer to towhitch with some battery pack in it - I think in 750kg (250kg) for trailer and 500kg would fit some 100Kwh battery, so would make it possible a total range of 1000+km ? :)

To be clear; this is an official Brink RMC kit mounted to official specifications that on any other car would be suitable to tow up to 1500kg. The only difference is that Nissan hasn't approved this combination for towing. It's not a mechanical or technical issue, it's almost exclusively a regulatory one. That being said, it's not legal to tow with this and you risk a fine if you get caught. A lot of people seem interested not necessarily in a battery trailer by itself, but in a caravan or similar with its own (fast-chargeable) battery inside, making it possible to tow a caravan without the big impact on range.

The red blinking light is the vehicle security light, not a warning light. Maybe the 2011-2012 did not have this, but my 2014 does have and it is normal. Congratulations on getting married!

@@edwyncorteen1527 There's a heat exchanger and fan inside the pack, and unfortunately no, the battery box is a completely different shape (larger, more air inside) to allow for the cooling. Completely impossible to retrofit under a Leaf.

Yes, on the ultra-leaf we now show the correct SoH (which for all ultra-leafs is very close to 100%, so 12 bars). On extender conversions, we don't modify the bars (yet)

Yes, the 30kWh can be upgraded to 40 (or even downgraded to 24). Any permutation of car and 24, 30 or 40kWh battery we can do for sure. We don't have experience with the 62 kWh pack yet.

Even than on colder mornings i have to stop for 10min at charger. Have the car for nerely 4 years, 3 years it was great, but than battery started to drop rapidly. 180000km on the clock now. Thanks.

Alle liegen noch um die 90%SOC, allerdings ist die Winterreichweite doch schon in einem Bereich das wir uns Gedanken machen müssen, was wir in 1 Jahr machen, wenn wir bei 200.000km sind. Dann sind die Winter nicht mehr handelbar zu vielen Zwischenladungen während der Schichten. Da würden die 40er Akku eine große Erleichterung bringen. Ansonsten fahren die noch Super, ausser Wartung und Reifen nix an Kosten.

Small English correction: 'Loaning' is lending to someone else. 'Borrowing' is having something lent to you. (lots of English people get this wrong too and use 'loan' for both loan and borrow, but it's a sign of being ill-educated, so I thought you might want to know).
