Chloe is an older dog, it is clear that she will have a hard time adapting to this new environment. She should live with Alisha, it's the best thing for her. She won't be alone, Rosie would be there and she would have a backyard. I know not having your dog would be sad, but you mentioned that you live near your sister, so you can visit her. Think of her, put her first and do better.

My dog also did this so we practiced “leaving” we would get our keys, shoes on, etc and just hangout at the house with him in his crate. We’d walk outside then back in and gradually increase the time that we were gone. We also gave kongs/long lasting treats while in the crate and practiced being in the crate more often and now he goes into his crate on his own just to lay down. He doesn’t bark when we’re gone and just chills. Sending hugs, it’s so stressful!

Hi Ashley! I’m from the US. I also work as an RVT in general practice. We see a lot of dogs with separation anxiety. We recommend using thunder ease calming spray, playing soft music in the background, or you could talk to your vet about some anxiety meds that could help!
