Something that helps me with anxiety is counting my fingers then taking a deep breath when I feel an attack coming. 🦋

Stress and anxiety have sadly always been a part of my life. One of my main physical and mental symptoms of my stress and anxiety have been extreme phases of burnout. Panic attacks are different for everyone. I basically freeze up and then uncontrollably sob/convulse. It is not fun, but one way that has helped me get over my anxiety and stress have been by giving myself grace. I am only in eighth grade and I am doing advanced work for years above me. I put so much pressure on myself with friends, family, church, school, extracurriculars, sports, homework, being healthy, and like daily tasks. Giving myself grace and telling people no sometimes have been so freeing and it is easier to control myself when an attack does come on. Sorry I really opened up, but I hope this helped.

Girl I feel you on the whole anxiety stuff! I don’t think I necessarily have anxiety but I have been feeling anxious and stressed and I have been overthinking a lot! Also have been feeling nauseous and am so tired. I am not sick I think it is just strain on my body and mind and that could also be what is happening for you as well!

my weird anxiety symptoms are: acid reflux, heart palpitations, stomach issues, derealization, chest pains, throat tightness and stabbing head pains 😬 I started medication in December and it's slowly getting better, you've got this girl! 🥰

I get anxious when I’m driving or when I’m doing something I haven’t done before. When I’m anxious, my heart races, I feel nauseous, and I get extremely fatigued. I’m still working on how to manage my anxiety. A solution that has helped me is identifying what’s making me anxious and trying to tackle it. For example, if I’m anxious about starting a class I’ll ask what myself what in particular is making me anxious and work from there.

Just an update: I finally drove!!! It was very stressful but I did it and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I will continue to keep trying to get my anxiety under control. Thank you all for helping me with your advice and thanks lauryn for inspiring me to be better and be productive and get sh** done

It definitely does sound like anxiety to me. I could be wrong but I was experiencing the same symptoms and turned out it was anxiety. Also you could be having deep tissue muscle pains. Hope you feel better soon 💗 I’ve had super bad anxiety this past year so recently I’ve been taking Vitamin D and a few other vitamins, trying to eat healthier, meditating/working out, and manifesting which has all helped

My anxiety usually effects my stomach first. I get super nauseous and feel like I can’t do anything but sit and wait for the nausea and anxiety attacks to go away. Most of the time my anxiety comes out of nowhere but lately, since I’ll be moving into my college dorm room next week and I haven’t moved onto my college campus yet so this will be my first time, it has come more because of college. I lost my appetite for a straight week last week and it was really hard to eat anything. That’s how it effects me personally.

I could say i experience the same symptoms and mostly at night time. We live in difficult situations and everyone has different worries. However keep in mind that you are not alone and you got this! Most of the time these symptoms are coming from built up stress and its weird as it tends to come out of nowhere. This is a sign from our bodies telling us to relax and come down ,therefore giving us the thought of trying to apply a more relaxing lifestyle. I know its difficult as we have a lot of responsibilities to worry about but we should always try to keep ourselves under control when it comes to planning our day. Sorry if what i am saying is hard to understand (english is not my first language)

Definitely sounds like anxiety. :/ I’ve been an anxiety sufferer for about 4 years now. Chest pains, feeling like I can’t take a deep breath, heart palpitations, and generally feeling ill and/or tired are just some of my symptoms. Moving out could definitely be a trigger for this kind of generalized anxiety!! Try to practice some mindfulness and be easy on yourself ❤️

Today was a productive day but I have to do 2 more tasks but they aren't hard so I decided to have a slow night (time is 9 p.m. in Turkey) and when I open youtube for a break this video came I am soo happy right now.I didn't watch the video yet but I'm sure it is awesome. Love ya!!

My personal experience with my mental health, it’s also affecting my physical being. Chest pain, shortness of breath, back pain, headaches like seriously painful to the point I can’t do anything else and sleeping doesn’t help, no matter how much sleep I had I always felt restless, and some other minor issues. I checked my head, back, etc. There’s nothing wrong with my body and all the doctors told me to go to psychologist & psychiatrist.. I knew I had to go to therapy for years now but the thought of that alone made me anxious. But I had the worst panic attack I ever experienced (while driving at night on the highway) and had to rushed to the ER cause I thought I had serious heart attack, and that made me got over my anxiety over therapy a bit. But covid happened and I don’t wanna spend hours sitting in a room with someone else. I don’t know exactly what kind of mental health issues I have but I know it’s my mental health based on all the symptoms and the fact that doctors didn’t found anything wrong with my physical health. But it is best to check everywhere first. I hope you find exactly the reason why you’ve been experiencing the chest pain and get better Lauryn ❤️ our physical & mental health is so important. Glad you’re taking the steps towards that.

Hi Lauryn! I experience I suffer from anxiety, I was diagnosed a couple months ago. How I experience anxiety is that when I’m in a situation that makes me nervous like going out with my friends, going to particular class, etc. my stomach hurts and sometimes I start sweating, my heart beats faster, I start shaking, I breathe faster. What I really recommend you, if you have a mental issue, is going to a psychologist. I was scared at first of going because I had never gone to one and I was nervous that the psychologist would think I’m crazy or I would be ashamed of telling her what I was going through. Since I go to therapy I can understand more of what’s happening to me and she helps me and teaches me what I can do in those situations. I really would recommend you start going and remember that you are not alone! Many people suffer from anxiety! I hope everything goes well!❤️

Hey Lauren. Two years ago I had chest pains and thought I would just die of a heart attack one day. We did checkups etc and never found the problem, and eventually I started blaming it on my anxiety. But one day I found out my ribs were out of place and my chest area was completely inflamed by that! So just thought I'd share it in case you might have the same problem. Love you and hope you find the problem, and feel better very soon xo

Hi! I deal with anxiety too. I have even called 911 thinking I had a severe asthma attack. I have gone home from work because my chest is so tight. The biggest thing that has helped me is medication. Prozac was what finally helped me. I also exercise daily, but before I had my meds I had an attack at least once per week. Sometimes randomly like 3am, no real cause.

Those chest pains and tightness are exactly how I experience my anxiety. I’ve experienced it quite a bit since ending the previous semester, almost like residual burn out. Also, moving out on your own for the first time and the distance change in your relationship are huge changes that could definitely be contributing to your anxiety

Lauryn, I’m so sorry you haven’t been feeling well. I really hope it gets better and that you figure out what’s wrong, so that you can take the steps that there are to feel better. I just wanted to say that I’ve always been a very anxious person but I didn’t get panic attacks until a bunch of things started changing. I really don’t deal well with change, so I think it’s totally possible that you’re feeling that way because of all the changes happening. It’s totally normal to feel scared for the unknown, just know that you are not alone, that we love you and that you totally got this 💜 sending hugs and prayers 💜

Those changes like moving are definitely super stressful so your body might be expressing that even when you’re not really thinking too much of it. It might go away after moving but it’s great that you’re gonna go to the doctor, he/she might help you with coping and maybe relaxation exercises. Lots of love xx

Thinking about you. Best thing is to stay busy. I’ve suffered from anxiety most of my life. The symptoms I get are feeling tired, tightness in my chest. I will even have dizzy spells. Meditation and self care have really helped me. And I do see a therapist that specializes in emdr and brain spotting. Hope this helps. Take care of you.

I’ve started my new semester and i’m struggling. I was on a role with the professors I had last semester and how they wanted things done. Now I have all new Profs and they want things done differently. ITS SO FRUSTRATING. My anxiety is off the charts for a week and I just don’t know what to do. Watching your videos always makes me feel like I can do it and that i’ll crush this semester!

Also, I was diagnosed with anxiety almost 5 years ago, and I get my symptoms out of no where all the time (chest pains, headaches, energy lows)! You will get better eventually, but I know it’s sucks in the moment :(

Loved this video, so chill! I feel you on the anxiety stuff. I’ve battled it my whole life and my last semester in college was the absolute worst! I had similar symptoms as you but unfortunately never got any diagnosis I’m actually about to get a full blood screening to check for any deficiencies. What helped me was regular exercise, a lot of prayer, eating healthier and honestly just leaving toxic people out of my life. Wishing the best for you girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I hope everything goes well at your dr appointment! I myself have struggled with both anxiety and chest pain. Separately and connected. Just keep doing what makes you happy and take time to rest as much as you need!

I've been diagnosed with anxiety disorder 4 years ago and now it's come to a point where I get anxiety for no reason. I will literally have panic attacks without anything weird happening. It's so frustrating. I just want you to know that I'm with you and I know how you feel. You're not alone 💕

I’m so glad you’re going to the doctors for that anxiety does cause so many things. I be feeling lightheaded so much. After running so many test the doctors don’t see anything. So I know how you feel I hopefully you’re great and sending prayers 🤍
