hey! today, i'm back with a little break from the usual~ just a little productive day in my life since i was feeling a bit in a rut this week. i've been doing a lot of self-reflecting and soul-searching and with that comes a lot of re-centering myself. i took it easy and decided to go with the flow this past friday with some cleaning, self-care, and making a bit of art. i hope you can perhaps find comfort in knowing that we all go through our down days.. but with that, we must take the time to organize our spaces and get our lives in check. what do you do to stay productive?

I love how calming this video was. I usually just start off my morning with making my bed and that kicks it off for me, I've noticed if i don't do that my room looks messy and I feel that not doing the one simple task sets me up to unproductive for the rest of the day! It's kind of weird but it helps me be productive.

Yas dude. When I journal I feel like it helps my mental clarity so much. Also, I start out each time writing something I’m grateful for. Sometimes it’s just a sentence, sometimes turns into a page. Then I end each entry with an intention: I intend to- . It really makes me feel better.

I’ve been meaning to write more positive things too! I’ve been stuck between writing out all of the negativity to get it out of my head *or* writing things I’m grateful for to get into a better mindset.. 🤔

you should check if your local community college has a ceramics course! that's were i took my first class and there were so many benefits! the studio was open every day of the week, clay was cheap, and galzes and oxides were free. not to mention being around teachers and people who had been working with clay for years was so convenient, they always had lil helpful tips. i think the only con was having to wait for things to be fired and the occasional item being stolen, lost, or tampered with. overall a semester long class was cheaper than 2 or 3 sessions at a private studio.💕

I appreciate this video. I’ve been feeling in a rut for the past year on and off. I really relate to when you said “I’m a fearful person” that’s me right now. My house is a mess, I barely cook for myself these days and can’t find the energy to work. I’m always procrastinating and have low energy levels. It’s tough right now but I’m hopeful things will get better and this video made me feel less alone and also gave me a bit of motivation and hope. Thank you.

Christy Contreras things can and WILL get better. i’m not gonna lie, a lot of the reason i’m in this state is because of my circumstances and the unknown. in a way, it’s part of growing into adulthood, i think. be patient with yourself and remember that it’s okay to have a little break! work on giving yourself happy days. 💗
