I'm so glad that you showed us that it's not all work work work work work and that it's okay to just stop working if you're finished for the day. As you said, you could've done other things that were planned for later in the week, but honestly, I think very few people would actually do those things efficiently. If I started working on something that I know I have planned time for later, my progress would be so slow. And I guess then it's just better to fully relax! And be more productive later :)

The feeling of "I should be doing something to feel productive" makes me so anxious, especially during the strict lockdown situation in India. Also, here's a fun video idea- have different cuisines for all your meals throughout the day. Or maybe you can spread it throughout the week. I was so excited when you mentioned that you tried chickpea koftas for lunch😀

I also tried HelloFresh, it's convenient, but there is too much plastic!! Almost every food is packed in plastic. Plus in Germany, the food is coming from Spain instead of here, this is not good for the environment too.
@hannahw3068
@hannahw3068 3 жыл бұрын
Yes that was my only problem with it! I liked the recipes and the food seemed fairly good quality, but if I bought a meal for four they would send like 4 individual small packs of cheese, 4 individual small packs of vinegar etc etc - so much plastic! I cancelled and fed that back to them hoping if enough people flag it something will change

@@hannahw3068 Also it's very wasteful to order :'( there is so much carbon emmision behind delivery - it makes me sad that it's the preferred method to shop even for people in cities now. I'm in Barcelona and people order things they could buy a block away.

I love this! I love seeing the BTS of content creators! you make it seem to natural and easy and it's not very often we see just how much effort goes into making the content. Like changing your outfit and make-up if you record on the same day is just a sign of that little bit extra effort some might not be arsed doing to keep content regular and fresh.

I’ve been curious to read the books after I finished season 1 of the show on Netflix but I don’t know if I want to go the book route just because tv shows usually do a really bad job of portraying book stories. Did you find the show was okay in comparison to the books? I’m so bad for spoilers and need to know what happens next haha but don’t want to ruin how much I liked the show by reading the book and finding the show did a bad job lol
@Sophie_Cleverly
@Sophie_Cleverly 3 жыл бұрын
@@probably_notbob5794 I think the show did a great job! The author was very involved and it definitely felt to me like the team making it really loved and cared about the books. There are some things I actually think the show did better which is pretty rare - but they did also simplify things, move some bits around and change some character motivations for TV, so it's not perfect. But personally I found reading the books and watching the show went really nice together in this instance, as you get all the additional depth from the books but the show adds a layer of fun and excitement to it. Also worth noting that the stuff in the show with the Crows is not from the books, their plot starts after the first trilogy in Six of Crows. So you start with Alina's story and then move onto theirs.

Yay - glad to hear you are learning German - me too! Would really recommend the Deutsche Welle website - there's a great series called Nicos Weg with video episodes and loads of exercises to work through about each one. Really high qualityand all free too! Also Memrise is great for learning vocab, you can make your own word lists or use other people's. You can only get so far with Duolingo. Viel Glück!

You probably already know this, but as a fellow reptile owner who’s been driven crazy by loud crickets before: if you take out each piece of furniture and run it under some water/stick it in a bucket of water the stupid cricket will come out. Also, I switched to feeding my leopards superworms years ago and it was the best decision I ever made... crickets are so annoying :/

as someone who also began to learn german on duolingo, i cannot recommend doing anki parallel to that enough. create a note type with three fields (word, translation, article), fiddle with the card options to make german->english, english->german and then german->article cards (into separate decks or just one if you're feeling reckless), and voila! it's a system that's served me well even after i stopped using duolingo and took some more traditional courses (or even just learning on my own). i think the act of manually entering the words into a database is also good for learning, which you're already doing, but the problem with notion is you'll have to manually review it (i'm assuming) whereas anki does all the reviewing decisions for you, you just have to click on the app and do what it tells you to. basically I CAN'T RECOMMEND ANKI ENOUGH FOR ANY KIND OF MEMORIZATION, as long as you actually put in the time to understand the material beforehand
