Don’t feel anxious don’t feel stressed how many people can’t go through nursing school and you’re running a KZbin business plus you are amazingly gorgeous. I really liked Archer. I believe that it helped me more than UWorld. The questions on the test are very similar and you have unlimited predictor/readiness tests that you can take.

I totally agree with your Ted talk. People sometimes just over pass the line and it makes them look “good” or feel good about themselves, but in reality it doesn’t. Just keep swimming, don’t let other people change you and your perspective. Take a break madi! You seem very stressed 🥺 continue with your journey, you came from a long way. Keep you head up and don’t give up. You’re an inspiration to me and to everyone else! ❤️🤙🏻

Hey Madi! I graduated nursing school last May and have been working as an OB nurse since. Mark’s lectures were so helpful for the nclex. You are going to do so great! The nclex was honestly not too bad as long as you’re reviewing the big things like Mark lectures on. As for your job, will you be moving to night shift at any point? I know for my unit, our night staff are overall younger so once I moved to night shift it got a little better getting to work with younger coworkers. I also think night shifts tend to have a more team oriented and easy going crew. Either way, I hope things at work start getting better! Nobody should be making you feel lesser for being new! Best of luck on your nclex! 💓

This is why it’s so nice having this community of nurses! I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I’m a new grad and it’s very lonely to me on my unit. People aren’t necessarily mean to me, everyone has been amazing and helpful. But I just feel out of place, like friendships have already been established on that unit, people are older than me and they’re talking about getting married and wanting kids, buying homes and I’m just there happy that I can handle my set on my own (barely) LOL. I think it’s good to listen to your body, listen to your heart. If it’s causing too much strain on your mental and emotional well-being, make an adjustment. Nursing is such a versatile field and you will find your place, just give it time.

You got this! I took my NCLEX on the 8th and found out I passed yesterday. I used UWorld, NCLEX High Yield podcasts (so good for breaking down material) and Mark K lectures! Good luck though! Half the game is a positive attitude, so take rest when you need it. Sending good vibes and prayers ✨❤️

Hi Madi, I absolutely agree with you 1000% when started at 12:11. I am doing my final nursing practicum/capstone in the NICU and I am also the youngest on the floor and unmarried/no kids and I feel SO out of place the majority of the time with not having a lot of people to talk to who understand it. The mindset that I try to go in with is that I am learning so much about infants and how to care for both the baby and the parents/family. I've heard the first year after nursing school is always the hardest, so I truly hope it gets easier for you! If not, the experience you get with the families and babies will be 1000% worth it and you will be able to move to other hospitals/floors/departments soon after!! Good luck on your NCLEX and thank you for always being so transparent!!!

I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. I’m still a nursing student but this semester I am experiencing some of the worse nurse bullying. However, some of the nicest people to be have been new grad nurses. So it’s people like you that us student nurses are going to turn too. We need people like you to help us when we have no one else to go to. So keep your chin up cause we need more nurses like you 😊

This!!!!! I feel like as a student there’s always nurses who are just rude to students and act like they are so much better. Everyone was new at one time- why not be kind and help students and new grads grow? I can’t wait to hopefully be a nurse preceptor in a couple years so I can show new nurses the ropes and that it’s okay to be new🤍

I think in general working in a mostly female dominated career that there are lots of women who are nasty and act like cats!! Especially if you’re young and they are older. I think a lot of it is jealousy because of age and looks. After working for over 30 years I would much rather work with guys. There are some amazing women though, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve seen my fair share that like to put new and younger women in their place. Stand up for yourself!! I didn’t for many years and the few times I did they backed off! I just couldn’t believe someone would act like that when I was trying to be nice. It’s like a male cat marking his territory!!

The phrase “nurses’ eat their young” is really true. So a tip just seek a nurse that is willing to help you, they still have them just really hard to find. It will be rough at the beginning as any job (New environment, new coworkers n etc) but with time it will get better. you will be a great nurse, good luck on your nclex.

I just found out I passed my NCLEX today! I listened to all of Mark K’s lectures and did 50-100 Archer/UWorld questions every day; if you keep things simple and stay calm, you will pass :) And I’m going through something totally similar. I’m going to be working on a General Peds floor and I’m the youngest nurse and don’t have anything in common with anyone and worry I’ll be so alone, but like you said, we just have to be nice and have a good attitude and things will fall into place. Good luck with your NCLEX studies and your job 💕

Nursing is a difficult profession to be in right now. I was lucky to have a great new-grad experience but my advice to you would be anytime anyone is trying to make you feel inadequate to remind them that you are a new grad & still learning. Older nurses go from A straight to D and have a hard time talking newer nurses through steps B & C. I find the best nursing preceptors are usually not the older nurses. As long as you continue to learn and progress, always trying to learn something new you will do great. Also, don’t always listen to what the experienced nurses tell you- ask yes, but verify. 😉

I know how you feel. I’m the youngest in my group of 6 at my job. The others are all married (except for one) and they all have kids. This one girl who started a week after me is only a couple years older than me, but she’s married and has three kids. It is weird and it’s hard to kind of relate to similar situations that they face because it’s all usually about their husbands or their kids-and I’m like, “hi😳🙂” 😅 But! I’ll tell you what my mom told me, don’t let that bother you. Be glad that you don’t have to handle kids yet. There’s nothing wrong with that. All that matters is you’re happy where you’re at and you love your job-no matter the age difference. And with being married, I’m single but so. That’s perfectly fine! I have a dog🥰🥰

I think all the notes are a little too much….I just took the nclex and only did 75 questions every day. I passed in 75. I was supposed to take the nclex on 2/24 but took it 1/28 and I’m glad because NOTHING would prepare me for that exam. It’s not like school exams, it’s more common sense or critical thinking. Nothing mark k said actually helped me, it was more so his way of thinking. Uworld was a waste. I did archer and Princeton review.
