The salt can exploding was DIABOLICAL 😭 @everyone don't forget to set some silly/fun new years resolutions, like trying as many different kinds of apples as possible, or learning 20 different oragami folds Since all my belongings are in boxes for my move coming up, I'm not starting any of my personal resolutions yet, but I want to fold 1000 mini paper cranes before next winter, and have calculated how many I need to fold in a week to get there (like 30 a week, so less than 10 a day. EZ)

I also had the same thing that I read a lot as a kid and teenager and then lost the joy in it (for me it was during uni because I studied a very reading intensive major). Took me until 2nd semester of the masters to get back into it. Buying a kindle really helped for some reason

Annika, if you are working on your reading goal, get the goodreads app or something similar (i use and am obsessed with goodreads). You can create a reading goal, update your progress, rate books, add books to your TBR...I went through a similar slump but that little rush when you switch a book to finished gives me some motivation haha

For books I would say The Cruel Prince trilogy, really good enemies to lovers where they are actually enemies, the main girl is a really good character, lots politics tho. For a friends to lovers, really slow burn and kinda angsty (but not because of the main pairing, things outside their control) Heaven Official’s Blessing, it’s a chinese danmei (BL) really really good. If you want something more comedic, The Scum Villain Self Saving System by the same author of the previous book I mentioned. Percy Jackson are incredible books also. Hope you like them 🫶🏻

A book that I always recommend and I reread every year is Inkheart❤even though it’s a younger YA novel, the author writes it so it’s still interesting regardless of age. It’s about a girl named Meggie who finds out her father brings characters to life by reading aloud. When she was an infant, he read aloud from a book and accidentally brought the villains into our world. The plot of the book follows Meggie and her dad (Mo) as they try to escape the villains who desperately want to return to their own world. It’s set in the German countryside and the pace always keeps you interested. It’s the book that got me into reading! Highly recommend it🥰

Coming from the bagel club one book I highly recommend is The Hobbit, fantasy and it's quite nice and a part of what got me into reading. The book I am currently reading is The Six by Luca Veste, but the rest of the Good girl's guide ti murder serie is on the list too, I really loved reading The Edge of In Between by Lorelei Savaryn, also read Five survive by Holly Jackson and read the They both die in the end and The first to die in the end books too. 😊 but whats important is that theres no need to rush with getting back to reading, take as much time as you need😊😊
