Great video, thanks for posting. In the video you used a poll time on A-HMI of 100ms, and I believe the timer in the Productivity was also counting to 100ms so it makes sense to cut down on traffic and all that. But do you know how well AdvancedHMI works if for instance you set the poll time to 10ms or maybe 15ms? I know real HMI panels and modern PLCs can handle it easily, but is the fast poll timing an issue running out of a general computer at all?

Thanks for the comment. Originally AHMI uses 500ms to communicate to the devices connected. I found through some experiments that 100ms gives a better user experience. The speed that you use would depend on your specific network. I would use a program like WireShark to look at the traffic of your network to see if a faster response can be used. www.wireshark.org/ Hope this helps you out. Thanks, Garry

Do you know if AdvancedHMI is compatible with CODESYS platform PLCs?
@ACCautomation4 жыл бұрын
Hi Spectre, AdvancedHMI would be compatible with CODESYS PLCs through Modbus communication. This could be Modbus TCP (Ethernet) or Modbus RTU (Serial - RS485) www.advancedhmi.com/forum/index.php?topic=250.0 The above is a thread on the AdvancedHMI forum that mentions this same topic. I hope this helps you out. Regards, Garry

@@ACCautomation Hey Gary. Is the only thing you need to communicate with AdvancedHMI through Modbus TCP the correct IP and Port number? I had issues with the default 502 Modbus port because I kept getting an error saying the port was already in use, so I use port 2000, which seem fine. But my client still can't connect to the PLC (I know this because my PLC program tells me how many clients are connected). Is there something I'm missing? Edit: I found the problem. My PLC doesn't recognize the Modbus communication unless AdvancedHMI is actually sending a Modbus message, so once I put in a panel meter to read a register it recognized the Client connection.
