The reason Beenigma give for their ‘Bee Venom’ products not being harmful to Bees is in the method they obtain the venom, where the stinger is not being detached from the body, so the Bee releases it’s venom, in the form of a powder and carries on living. HOWEVER, the method in which they obtain the venom is tricking the bees to think there is an intruder, by placing a frame at the entrance of the hive, through which an electric current is passed, administering small electric shocks to the bees, stressing them into stinging a pane of glass and releasing their venom. The fact that they claim to be cruelty free is sickening. Can you imagine a life of being constantly shocked and only kept alive for your venom? And the fact that this video is sponsored by this brand is absolutely horrible. This is not even to mention how valuable bees are to the ecosystem!! I know your channel's focus is not on cruelty-free products Jessica, but this is a new low in my opinion.

Taylor Benson very well put. I don't really mind that Jessica is doing sponsored videos, because she's only promoting companies and products that she actually likes. However, I first saw Tati talk about this product and right away I was curious as to how the bee venom was extracted. So I did a little research and was shocked that these companies are able to claim that their products are cruelty free. It's the same with False Lash companies that claim that the mink hair is brushed off the animal, so therefore no harm comes to them. What they don't tell you is that the Mink are kept in such cruel conditions, often times in very crowded cages, where they become extremely aggressive and attack each other. In both cases, the "extraction" part is cruelty-free, but the conditions and the methods of extraction are not. Sad.

I also appreciate her dedication to us, and good Lord I won't turn down vacation time paid at a job, why on earth wouldn't I do sponsored videos. She NEVER fails to say so up front and if folks are so bothered by them then perhaps they are following for the wrong reasons. I love that she is so down to earth, she always finds great makeup for us that is drug store and tells us if the hype is worth it for the more expensive stuff. She is one of the few I take her absolute word on.

I don't understand why people are so upset about sponsored videos. If KZbin is a job, why shouldn't she take the opportunity to make some money. She buys a lot of products, takes time to film and edit them, invested in a better camera, etc. It's not like she only talked about the one product. She had already liked the product before they contacted her and she's always upfront about it being sponsored. If my job offered me a way to make extra money and didn't ask me to do anything dishonest, I would certainly do it. Also, the number of sponsored videos she does is small compared to the number of non sponsored videos she posts. Aside from that, if people don't like the content, why watch and post negative comments? I watch people I like, trust and can relate to. For example, I'm not a fan of some big KZbinrs so I just don't watch. I don't watch them only so I can leave a negative comment. There is just enough negativity in the world without creating more over something that no one is forcing anyone to watch just seems silly to. me.

the powder liner @ 13:20 you mentioned is basically Kajal powder. that thin applicator is made so that you can place it parallel to your waterline, ON your waterline, almost like u would place a thin-wand mascara for your lower lashes, then close your eyes, drag out the stick and BOOM, you are perfectly tight lined, top and bottom. try it.

Andrea 27 She did a video about why she does sponsored videos some time ago. Also, unlike other youtubers, she is straight forward with us whether her videos are sponsored or not. Since the beginning of this year (2017), Jessica has released 13 videos, only 3 were sponsored, so I'm okay it with. It starts to annoy me when youtubers post only sponsored videos like back to back. We are still in January, and she has released 13 videos so far. Some youtubers post a total of 6 videos a month and 2 or 3 tend to be sponsored. I think by the time Jan is up, Jessica will have released 16-18 videos with 4 of them being sponsored, which to me is okay to me for now.

Andrea 27 She agreed to the sponsorship *after* trying the product out for a bit. She's been trying it for 3 months & really likes it. If she'd tried it and had a reaction or plain didn't like it she would've turned down the sponsorship. That's how sponsorships work, the honest ones anyways. I've had a few YTers actually talk about the amount of sponsorships they've turned down simply because they didn't like the products. I know there's YTers taking whatever brands offer, saying whatever will get them a check, but Jessica is not one. She puts in all the work & is always honest. She deserves to get some compensation here/there for all the work.

The Beenigma product, I would like to state my opinion. I know I might get some heat but I'm sure there are a few who might share my view. I do not mean to offend anyone. I'm not a vegan When you say "natural ingredients" its not synthetic venom Our bee population is declining. A colony can be up to 50,000 but that takes 2 years to develop. A worker bee life's span is 6 weeks in the summer but 6 months in winter. They live longer during winter in order to keep the hive functional. When are they harvesting the venom? When the stinger is removed the bee will die right away most of the time. A substitute for bee's pollinating would be flies. Which would lead to an increase in the flies population. I'm not saying that this product is the cause the decline, but it doesnt help. I'm sorry if i offended anyone, but this is my opinion.

In the 11/3/16 "20 Products You NEED From Sephora" video she had this to say on KVD in Outlaw (I cut this down in both videos to make it shorter). "These last forever, it's insane. This looks really nice (referring to inside of lips) and this stuff lasts forever. It's amazing, I love this formula and it lasts forever and it's really thin so it's comfortable so it almost feels like you're not wearing anything, and yet it looks amazing. It's really nice." But in this video-(speaking of KVD Outlaw) "Now this was shocking. I was so shocked at how much I hated it. I wore this every other day for a week and every time I hated it. It would never look great after an hour. It was so uncomfortable because it was so drying. I thought why is it so drying? I was really disappointed and the reason I'm bringing this up and feel ok telling you guys how much I hated the (KVD) is because the liquid lipstick I'm wearing today is miles above it in formula and that is Ofra. They did send me this but I'm not affiliated, not getting kickback, etc. The KVD one within 5 minutes looked really crazy on the inner rim of my lips, they were really dry and you could really see the difference between my lips and the KVD. The Ofra was so comfortable, it feels like a lip balm, I can't rave about it enough. I really just didn't love the KVD formula."

Honestly, I don't really mind if she wants to talk about the same products over again if she truly loves them, but she needs to get her stories straight. To basically go from saying she loves a certain product & that you need it in your life, to saying it's absolutely horrible makes you wonder if you can actually trust her. I also have an issue with her promoting that Milk primer when she had only used it for the first time the day she recorded this video... it shocked her, yet she hadn't even worn it for a full day to see how it holds up.

My only gripe about beenigma is "Y u no have pump?" Usually skin care products lose potency when exposed to light and air. I think they should make pump for it in a dark bottle preferably. Regardless! The video was nice. : )

I've only found her two days ago, and I've watched maybe six videos and I can tell she's one of the very few genuine youtubers. They are hard to find these days with the community being so saturated with the same old same old of people pushing products to you that they are only hyping for the money they get from the company. Jessica is very clearly not like that, if you genuinely sit down and watch and pay attention to her videos she tells you like it is, period and doesn't BS you if she is going to do a sponsored video. Matter of fact, I watched a video where she said she'd be doing three sponsored videos in that month, she told us straight up. People need to also realize it's 2017 and sponsored videos happen, they are a thing. These people on here when they get to a certain status make money on here and they get sponsors, if you made videos and a company you liked and used their products, whatever it might be came to you and offered you a nice chunk of money don't even try to tell me you wouldn't take it, because you'd be telling a tale. Anyway she's one of the few who can be trusted.

Videos are sponsored by ONE company at a time. Also, just bc someone mentions a brand multiple times doesn't mean they are sponsored. Some ppl really like certain brands. I'm the opposite with liquid lipsticks, I don't like any of them, but I prefer them in this order: Kat Von D Anastasia Beverly Hills LimeCrime and I HATED the Ofra ones. They got all over everything, yet were so drying it was ridiculous. I just hate liquid lipsticks in general, but if I were to choose favorites it would be those three brands. They come in handy when I go out with my boyfriend, he hates it when lipstick gets on him

I LOVE both OFRA and CP lippies. I am not a huge super matte fan but the CP doesn't get weird when I add a primer or a gloss on top of it like some do and the OFRA ones are just super comfortable and dry down but not to the point of complete dry...That is why I love them. They still have a GREAT staying power to them though, they both do. The Lippies stix and Satin ones are my fave of CP. LOVE the Fairy Floss gloss by CP too

My top faves are Makeup Monsters & lonely Planet, both amazing indie brands. The least drying by far of any transfer-free liquid lipsticks I've tried. I do - in some situations - like some that can transfer a bit also; my favorite of those are Julep, then Ciate, then OFRA.

It’s collected using a piece of lightly electrified glass which attracts bees to sting it, leaving venom behind. The glass doesn’t retain the bees’ stingers, so they don’t die. Additional studies have shown that bee activity isn’t adversely affected by the process either"

I can't spend that kind of money on a face cream. I found kano creme bee venom with active manuka honey, propolis, collagen and elastin. It's called a face mask and it says use sparingly, avoiding eye area and wash off after 15 minutes. it also says for best results reapply each evening as a night Cream to tighten and requvenate your skin while sleeping. Wonder if this is simalar? but I warn you, it burns alittle if you apply too much! but it does make your skin so soft.

I've been using the Loreal Visilift foundation for about 2 years and I love it! It does have a gray undertone that I had to get used to. All in all, I recommend it greatly.

I love what you said about the Kat Von D liquid lipstick. I bought one of those, and one of the Anastasia liquid lipsticks, and found both of them impossible. I'm 58 and yes, they don't bleed, but they just look terrible on the lips, Wear off quickly and also wear off from the inside out.

I have been using Beenigma for several months. It worked wonders for my skin. I will be 50 in May and I am a firefighter which at times will put me out in the sun for long periods so skin care is very important to me. They do have half off sales and being concerned for our bee colonies I verified that they do not harm them and the process they use. I highly recommend it.

flower beauty was discontinued in canadian walmart so i grabbed a bunch of it on clearance, and there wasnt a single thing i liked even a little bit. their eyeliner was junk, their 3 in 1 mascara was cheap feeling and super wet, their cream shadow was literally a cream like you blink and the whole thing creases up, their blushes are so powdery, their shadows are soft but have no pigment, like what was going on? i hope they've updated some of their products since then. it was so awful.

I love Beenigma, I'm on my 3rd jar and I have a backup. It looks like a thicker texture but once you put a little on the back of your hand to test it absorbs like a great absorbing, hydrating moisturizer. I give it 10 minutes or more before primer. My face just feels so good for hours. I have dry skin and my skin doesn't get that dry, crepey look under my eyes or dehydrated look on my cheeks and forehead. It isn't oily or waxy at all. I have so many moisturizers that I never return to. This is the FIRST moisturizer I've purchased 4 times. I'll keep purchasing it every year.

I was so shocked at how much I loved the L'Oreal Infallible Lip Gloss. They come in a matte and a regular glossy finish and my favorite shades are Modern Mauve (glossy) and Nude Allude (matte). No one ever talks about these and they are so great! Theyre opaque, comfortable and last for hours and hours!

I always love how in depth and informative you are with your content and review, and you never bullshit around with cutesy introductions you get straight to the point! Not that I don't enjoy KZbinrs with that style, yours is just especially refreshing. I'm so surprised by your experience with the KVD liquid lipsticks though! It's crazy how makeup truly suits everyone a little differently, because her formula is the only one that lasts comfortably and beautifully on my lips. But the ColourPop lip liners.... girl yes.
