What I most love about Woz is that he's not fake. He's not fake. He's not fake. He is a decent, real person. He loves computers, doesn't want to tear people down, and looks for the best in others. Great guy.

I just love Woz so much. Jobs deserves a ton of credit, but Woz seems like the guy who was and is much more happy in life. He's just so very, very honest and open and while I am sure loves to have money, he truly seems to not let it rule his life.

The Woz tackles the infamous backpack issue! And does it convincingly, too. It's 1am, you can't quite fall asleep quickly enough in a strange room in a strange hotel in a strange city/country, so what do you do...? The thing that brings you joy, of course. And for The Woz, it's exploring how all these new devices function and what do they do. But it's so much more personal for this lovely man, because these gadgets he carries around everywhere are, in a sense, his grandchildren, having forged the world that made them possible.

There was an old guy over the road from me growing up, who was a mad inventor, whos major invention was the rocker thing in washing machines. Made him enough money from the patent to set him up for life, but the old eccentric just lived in a run down old house with a big workshop trying to invent the next big thing. I dont think he ever really had another invention that went huge, but he had all sorts of crazy stuff. Robotic arms, bizare kitchen appliances and everything. Very lonely guy though, he just didnt really relate to other people very well.

Any new technology that is invented can be abused. That doesn't make it wrong to invent the technology with the intent that it be used for good. I can't believe that needs to be explained. And what do you mean he takes govt contracts? As far as I know he gets paid a bit from Apple and that's all. Steve is hardly an engineer anymore, he doesn't actively work making "systems" "better." And he is helping us stop govt control of the internet by vocalizing way more than anyone else has.

Most great inventors have dyslexia and other mental disorders that leads people to assume there crazy. For instance, two bicycle mechanics invented an airplane that was completely backwards...tail in the front, engine in the back.

You guys tryin to boost Woz over Jobs don’t seem to get it.. Apple wouldn’t exist if Steve didn’t come into the picture. Woz wanted to give it to his friends for free, and nearly gave it to HP behind Job’s back like a total turd before he’d commit to Apple. Apple simply would never be the Apple you love without Jobs. This guy keeps telling the same story all over the damn world and one you’ve seen one talk you’ve seen them all. Blegh a movie on this guy would be a real stinker. It would be the same story on a loop for 2 hours.

People forget that steve jobs was a complete failure before 1998, the introduction of the imac, every project he was involved in at apple was a technical and economic failure, he was fired from apple and it was only after his efforts at pixar and next computers that he returned to apple and started to introduce products that people wanted.. .
@Revelator20253 жыл бұрын
You’re absolutely correct about that. Woz was an engineer and would have been happy and content to be a lifer at Hewlett-Packard.
