Good speech, but the motion specifically mentions the nature of humanity, so you can't completely ignore that and argue your own point

These questions must be considered but I think it affects human nature of being cognitively judgmental ,the increase of discrimination, here we loose humanity . I have a question, Who would determine that white skin is better than black and the curly hair is the choice? parents ! why would they even determine the shape or the qualities of their childs, in Holly Quran At Tin 4 "we have created man in the best of statures " if we are all good looking according to a model designed by another human ,then where is unconditional love where is life and challenges that create our own behavior . What about the future embryo isn't he the leader of his life or is he considered an object not a free human being ?! To me , being the smarter the good looking would cover my own and deep deep amazing characters and it would take a long time to get my nature iam born with,my parents would be wrong, my life would be less tolerated , if genetic engineering could add objectives like peaceful, justice, merciful, kindness, loving, then WELCOME !It would be a better world.

Why is she disregarding the nature of humanity when the motion specifically calls for it?

seems like its a very long "vote against gene editing eroding the nature of humanity because it is not the nature of humanity but comercial, financial, social, and political interests that erode the nature of humanity." type argument doesn't it.

For her side it wont solve things if people focused on defining whats nature of humanity. Just like what second opp speaker said, nature of humanity also means the war, and bad stuff about human and for the third speaker said, the more people you ask the more the definition of nature of humanity diversified. Thats why she said they ask wrong question and point out about how this genetic engineering will do in the future, the risk, the justice, and other aspect that human live on. Thats how she asimilates the gentic engineering in human life application to connect it to other speakers's "nature of humanity"

We are all aware, if we are honest... certain human characteristics are appealing and demanded. Donnie Devito ...actor vs Brad Pitt...who would we react to most favorably. Pitt of course. The kid who's a fast learner, becomes teachers pet. While the late bloomer, may bloom later, or just be buried alive with disregard or neglect; leading to possibly tragic consequences . Parents want to brag about the 3 year old pianist.."we"... created a wiz kid who will earn millions because of his talent. And be loved, for his talent, instead of himself. Einstein didn't speak until he was 5!!! My mother could hardly do simple math...because it was presented in an overwhelming way; her bright sister, who later became a teacher, beat her for being stupid...my mother had different abilities... brilliancces... Evidenced in adult life. Who was the better person? Society applauds, reacts favorably to the smart one which gets the better opportunities!!! Most of my schooling has Dumified me. At 69...I struggle...in this horrific and painful trap...that I will never be able to enfree from. Made it this far, painfully, so. What's happened to the smart kids who never had to struggle??? I know they got opportunities, were treated better...but are they more " successful", free from depression, able to problem solve outside of the perameters of their particular audience and their devised tests and acceptances...🤔
