I like the comparison, Kenya Status during Mandela’s burial and during Mahama’s inauguration….Foreign Policy and Kenya’s stature during Uhuru’s time was on an all time high.

Can the lead presenter tone down a little bit. She is dominating the debate so much such that the guests input is reduced to a bare minimum. This is where Latif excelled. Being brief and to the point. But her she's all over.

It doesn't take so much critical thinking to analyze prof"s identity politics of victimhood and envy. We know the difference between agents of political change and pawns of political games. Respect is two-way!

That's according to the tribalist. If that's the case then diplomatic blundered must have started long time ago coz how then would he explain Kenya's loss at AU during Unye's time.

Prof Kagwanja may be suffering from selective amnesia by gloating about the opportunistic role Kenya now enjoys in southern Africa. The prof is old enough to know about the cozy relationship we had with Ian Smith (Rhodesia) and the Bothas in south Africa. The exception was in South West Africa (Namibia) where late president Moi had personal rapport with SWAPO's Sam Nujoma. Tanzania (under Nyerere) was the lead African nation in the liberation of Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola and later south Africa. Nyerere as chair of the OAU liberation committee then headquartered in Dar es Salaam not only provided offices but also training grounds for freedom fighters. Tanzanian soldiers also actively participated in combat missions against the colonialists. Southern Africa has not forgotten that eternal debt.
