Lol, just saw this asshole live. He turned his line "Nobody leavin' the party until somebody gets tazered" into "Nobody leavin' the party, this is Boston". He was so good. I wish he had a bigger budget. His lyrics, skill, talent, and videos are unparalleled. How can someone be such an unrivaled rapper, and make question how seriously s/he be taken. The dude is a gem.

The reason Prof is not more well known is probably just because he's from Minneapolis-St. Paul. Our artists are ridiculously talented, but (with the exception of Lizzo) they tend to not really put a lot of emphasis in tailoring their sound to the national or global market.

I think its the writing. Hard yet comical and the tracks he puts together are just off the hook always bumping that bass. I can't believe that he's like so underground that nobody's heard of him and he's been killing it for I think 10+ yrs. Anyway long story short hears the tracks that I can't get enough of. Timebomb, standout, tarzan, the new one that just dropped called cutthroat, oh yeah I think its older but the beat is just so sick called amazing. I think you will definitely enjoy them. Thanks for doing what you do. I really enjoy listening to your opinion and like the way you grade the material you review. It makes sense and really puts some thought or merit behind it. Making it more legit or fair. If that makes any sense.

Artists in every genera ghosts writes... anyone in metal, r and b., you think any of those bands in the 2000's nu metal wave wrote there own songs.. "come my lady come come my lady you my butterfly, sugar baby"... was not his song... chester benington from Lincoln Park was to have stolen at least half of their songs from a few fans wanting to help out. happens all the time. does that make the person or band fake... yeah. but it doesn't make them less talented after all you knew who i was talking about when i wrote those lyrics earlier.

Nobody should be having anyone write their songs for them nor should they have help writing them. The moment a person does that they are no longer an artist but a hack and should hang it up because obviously it was not meant to be and neither was, they. A musical artist should make their own art. Unless they are a band but still just the members of the musical artistic group should be creating the music and no one else. If people like REN, PROF, NF or even Trent Reznor can write, produce, make music videos, sing, rap play multiple instruments etc. etc. then there really is no excuse for not going as hard and at least attempting to reach the bar that has been set pretty high but if you can't reach that bar on your own then why you even trying.......just give up and go work at taco bell for goodness sake!!! Right on BROTHER!!!

I personally want to ghost write myself so maybe my opinion is slanted here, but I feel like as long as an artist is transparent about ghostwriting it’s cool. I also don’t think it’s fair to hold every artist to a level of consistency. Some people come out with a unique sound, and they’re one hits. Should they stop performing because they can’t keep up with their novelty, or should they help put bread in another talented persons pockets?
@JasonBunting2 жыл бұрын

9:59 - My opinion on your question. If you classify yourself as a rapper you can't have GW's - but to be honest I think if it comes to hip hop more than 50% of artists use GW's. This is why Drake is a Hip Hop artist xD

Ghost writing is mad whack but most people don't care unless it's a dude they don't like. Look at Eazy-E.... don't think he wrote anything at all until the very end of his life/career but there's still loads of people that think he's top 5-10 all time.
@adambent95742 жыл бұрын
Respect to E, but he’s nowhere near the list of top rappers of all time. I’m on the east coast so it may be different elsewhere, but I’ve never heard anyone say anything like that about Easy
@keithgraham85882 жыл бұрын
I don't care if people have actually done shit they rap about in real life, music is supposed to be entertainment. However, ghost writing defeats the purpose of hip-hop imo. Crazy thing is Eazy-E never wrote any of his own raps and that is the main reason why I think he is overrated.

@tiezeehc2 жыл бұрын
I've never unde getting mad about ghost writers. Some people are better at performing, others better at writing. Why can't we just work together and make the best music possible? Why is it such a bad thing to have help if it makes the art better?
@shakashinereacts2 жыл бұрын
So personally the only time i have a problem with an artist using a ghost writer, is when they are trying to hid that fact. Or are not upfront with that. As long as they are not trying to act like they did it alone. I say go for it. I’m also with you on the fact that, i think when people working together will usually come out with a better outcome. Also i am doing a live Q&A soon and I REALLY need questions. So if you could go to my community tad on my channel and ask a question on the post, it would mean a lot to me and there will be cash giveaways during the live stream. If not its ok. Still appreciate you being part of the channel.
