I think it would be cool if you reacted to Stuck but also if you checked out their more recent choreos (such as Love Killa, Fantasia or Shoot Out). Whilst they in general tend to be very keen on dancing rather powerfully, they also have a thing for creating (graceful) imagery and that is the case with this particular choreo (Shine Forever is another good example of that). Also as a bonus, since you seemed to enjoy the 'purple's' rather sexy approach; he (Minhyuk) and two other members (Kihyun and Hyungwon) have done a cover stage for Myself by Bazzi so you might want to check that out. To me, at least, Minhyuk and another member who you referred to as 'knees' - I.M (tip: his real name is Changkyun so you might see people referring to him as such) are quite underappreciated gems when it comes to the group's dancing skills. They're not officially part of the dance line but I find them extremely captivating - especially in the Jealousy choreo. That is quite a lot of material but honestly, it's not even 1% of what is out there. They're known for being extremely hard working and giving to their fans so there's always some content being released. I feel like Monsta X's whole vibe with a lot of their dances is something you touched on in a BTS react, where it feels like a build up and then release of tension throughout the entire dance. Even from the beginning of the choreo they all play around with the speed and strength of their movements, which I think takes a lot of practice to be able to isolate your body and look smooth and light but then a millisecond later have all this weight behind you when you move. I never get bored of watching them perform, thank you so much for making a video about them.

Yaaayy I’m so happy you reacted to this!! Beautiful will always hold such a special place in my heart because it introduced me to this group! Monsta X in general have very aggressive music, they’re also visually bigger and muscular and more aggressive than most other boy groups (I mean - not all of them are lean or built like most kpop boy groups) so yes, your Angry Nose-scrunch is a very accurate response, and is mutually experienced on a regular basis amongst Monsta X fans I would say 😅 There was something about this dance - and a lot of other Monsta X dances I think, that felt very heavy, almost as if they were moving underwater. At first, I mistakenly thought they were all just very heavy on their feet, which I realise is wrong because some of them glide so light and seamlessly - especially black shirt man (Hyungwon) in the centre at 22:59, he looks like he’s skating on the floor it’s so SMOOTH. But now I finally understand the very deliberate tension in their legs in specific moves, yet loose upper bodies, and the interesting dichotomy that creates (see, this is why I love your breakdowns! You make everything make sense!) Blue haired man (Shownu) is actually the main dancer and I’m OBSESSED with his footwork, he always adds crazy details to it (like the step-step thing you mentioned.) How he manages to be so powerful yet fluid with his movements is beyond me. Also, blond man (Jooheon) is actually the main rapper but he’s surprisingly good at both singing and dancing too. He’s incredibly charismatic and energetic and it saddens me when his dancing is overlooked compared to that of the other members but I’m so glad you appreciated his talent and hard work! I actually have a question, if you don’t mind. I always thought that move at 11:51 was locking? Since they lock their joints and use them as hinges to move their arms, if that makes any sense? But you said those moves were intended to be popping moves even though none of the members were actually popping. Or is locking something else entirely? I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m just curious and your insight would greatly help! I absolutely love and agree with what you said about dance in general - it’s is one of the main reasons why I love kpop so much because it manages to highlight the layers in music that a visual processor like me fails to hear sometimes. It allows me to see music in a whole new light because it has the power to visually enhance all the auditory details. You’re right when you say it isn’t appreciated as an art form enough! Thank you aimee for such a lovely comment! Angry Nose-Scrunch is now the name of that face 😜 Your question about Locking is a great one as it's misunderstood a lot in the main stream. There is a whole style called Locking (or Lockin') that looks completely different to Popping (or Poppin'). If you google Locking dance style and Don Campbell (dance name "Don Campbellock"), he was the creator of Locking and there's some nice info about the whole genre. Now, the phrase Pop and Lock or popping and locking is definitely a phrase one hears a lot, but honestly I don't know where that comes from! So I will ask and try and find out! Because those two words are put together all the time, it's understandable why people think they're the same thing! So I have no dance background and I'm awful at picking out the little details, which is half the reason I love these videos so much. You point out details in the movements and dance formations that I would never have seen, and it always makes me appreciate the dance so much more afterwords. The other half of why I love these videos so much is honestly just how excited you get about said details. You always get so hyped and passionate about the awesome choreography and I can't help but smile the entire time watching you. I believe this dance in particular was actually the choreo that they created themselves for the most part. They always take part in creating their own choreography however they had the most involvement in the Beautiful choreo.

I very much love their choreo, I was incredibly sad when Wonho stepped away from the group. (that is a long story and it wasn't his fault but he felt he was doing the right thing.) Their dances have a lot of poppin and isolation in every single movement. All the complexity are mixed into the choreography even if seems so simple in some parts. The best part is know that they are thousand times better now and harder to cover hahahah

Hi Riki, there's this one small moment in this dance that I really like. 23:58 it's a very simple not-at-all complicated move, but I have noticed that I like minimal flowey moves, if that makes sense. It's like a tiny wave or a small ripple. It's a continuous movement, which doesn't end, but it's very minimal and it's only in the shoulders and the legs and hips. It's mostly the shape they are building with their body while the hands are removed. I know it's nothing really flashy, but something about it captures my eyes and I rewind that moments several times. Beside that, I wanted to say how much I appreciate your circle time concept. I think I've said this before, but it is very nice to be a part of a conversation rather than just consume someone's expertise (not that there's anything bad about that). Also when I go through your comment section, I see that it's one of the tamest, least toxic, least drama-filled comment sections I've seen in youtube. And it is mostly interesting comments. I typically don't read comment section unless it's a comedy channel and the comments tend to be funny. Because most times yt comment sections are just lots of unnecessary hatefulness, and who has time for that. Here I feel comfortable and eager to go through the comments and read through them and engage. And I think you are the one who caters these comments. Picking and reading interesting comments encourage people who have something interesting to say to actually take time and type it. So you are the curator of this space and I just wanted to say thank you.

God, monsta x's dances goes. Soooo hard. I will never recover from shoot out's opening like that was a life changing event. Also their latest comeback gambler is just. So simple but it's addicting? So good. Some of my favorite quotes: "Blonde man is a serious man that we have to deal with." that's jooheon for you. We actually have a word for that in Indonesian. For that feeling when you just want to consume the thing you feel so strongly about, and it is: "gemas" (pronounced with a hard g, the "e" is like in "destroy” and the a is like in "assume"). I've always disliked how there isn't a word for it in English haha
