It’s called “playing the chord changes” and it really makes players stand out... yes you can play A minor pentatonic over the entire progression, but switching to The represented chord scale blows People away! Great lesson... I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn Lane in Atlanta at a Clinic he did at AIM he gave the best advice he said “the best part about playing guitar is that no matter what you’re only 1/2 step off!”

I loved hearing your raw playing with a touch of distortion (I enjoyed it all but never heard you in this context). This really shows your command over phrasing, bending and emotion and how deeply involved in the guitar that you are. Take heed young shredders. Learn to shred but don't forget to nurture the soul. I was always mystified about how blues works and I still am. I love how it sounds happy and sad at the same time. And like master MAB says, you play an A7 ( V7 chord ) and you are allowed to play C natural .. I mean its amazing how blues blends notes... its like you have a major scale progression and you just play over it with a minor scale. Great video Master, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us!! It is very nice to watch you play, hope you are having a great time. Keep Rocking 🤟🎸!!!

@TraumaAD4 жыл бұрын
something in the style of yngwie? .....classical progressions? uuhhhh where you been dude? or are you just abject-trolling? -- M.a.B has that stuff allllllllllllllll through his work. speed kills is chalk full of it. maybe you didnt catch it. yngwie tends to do more alternating picking doing his classical/arpeggio progressions which sounds more aggresive sound (more attack). m.a.b. tends to do alot of sweeping and alternating picking. alot of fluidity and attack with his classical and arpeggio runs. i dig both of them! go down that M.a.b. baroque rabbit hole. :) lots of good stuff
@k33pstrumming394 жыл бұрын

Those guitar looks interesting. What i love about some "cheap" guitars , is they are also great platform to modify with your pickup of your dreams and make it sound and play like a 3000$ guitar or to simply personalize it to your taste . I bought a few years ago a little GoDPS Silver Edition Dean Vendetta . End up just personalized it and keep the original pickup in . They are kick a** for the price and it is one of my favorite guitar and I own multiple expensive one from all brand. I really recommend this guitar not only for beginners. Those Sawtooth looks very interesting too and I probably end up with one .

@souravroy4604 жыл бұрын

@dadriankaelan4 жыл бұрын
So in the blues you target the root note of the chord being played that's cool. But you stay with the one scale and don't change it for every chord, right? Another words if the song is a blue in A you use the A minor pentatonic - and when it changes to D you still use the A minor pentatonic but target the D notes? Not sure if I'm confused. Some people on KZbin say you're supposed to change scales for every chord and I find it incredibly challenging...

What a lot of players don’t understand is, when playing Rock N Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Funk, Hard Rock, they’re derivatives of The Blues, The Gospel; stemming from Jazz, which is offspring of Classical Music( keyword Music; “Make A Joyful Noise, unto The Earth 🌏 “), so that there be “Peace On Earth”( a Piece Of 🎼🎹🥁🎸🎷🎺🎤”). ✌🏿 Universal Family!!! Live to Love and Love to Live!!!!!!!!!!!!
