Lenovo is a great old laptop to have as I understand they were built like tanks! Anyway thanks again and looking forward to more demonstrations!

I’d love to see a video like this doing small items but where you’ll be able to see all sides. It’s a lot easier when you’re only doing the top/sides and not also the bottom of something in my experience.

Nice video! Im impressed with Vivid that the embossed logo didnt need special attention. Personally I wouldnt go chrome because of chronic fingerprints. But that is sharp! Well, here I go with a matte metalic blue.

Great videos and thanks for posting all of these! I've particularly enjoyed your recent ones wrapping your mom's Elantra in red chrome! Great job btw! I'm a beginner wrapper and your vids are informative, interesting, and motivational, particularly when I get to a difficult area in wrapping something--I watch your vids and get a boost that it can be done! Keep posting! I do have some requests: - Wrapping rear bumpers, but particularly addressing those deep concave curves on the inside of the bumper where the trunk or hatch meets the bumper and the tail light (which often includes 3 sided corners!) - General thoughts/commentary/examples of when it's better to do inlays rather than try to wrap in one piece - Close up videos of wrapping corners, particularly "sharp" triangular corners like where the fender/headlight/hood meet (I get a good wrap around, but get those stupid wrinkles on the inside)

+Erick Castro thanks a lot for the comment. My go pro recently broke so I have been able to do any pov videos. As soon as I get a new one I plan to show you how to do super clean corners in any film. I do have a bumper video up but I don't know how well you can see me do the rear recess. I'll also explain where you'll want to do inlays. Inlays are mostly done on front bumpers but some rear bumpers need them as well.

Thumbs up for the video! I'm glad I watched this video because now I know that I don't want to have chrome because it is a finger magnet. I'll probably stick with a matte finish. (BTW, I got a Lenovo as well. ;D).

Hi! Can you please recommend me a specific model of vinyl wraps for electronics ? (like laptops, phones, audio/video equipment) ? I'm really struggling to find something that meets my needs. The films must meet the following specifications: - Fast & easy removal with no damage, residue, or marks - Easy DIY bubble-free application ( - maybe printable ?! and transparent | matte ) Many thanks!!!

Christian I have always post heated before trimming, do you think that matters or in your experience has it not really made a difference? I guess my theory was post heat could result in a very small pull back while the vinyl memory breaks. But I have no proof of weather that is true or not.

Yes, I always post heat edges when doing vehicle wraps before I cut and then post heat after the cut as well.

Hey Christian, got a question hope can answer. Have some Vvivid+ Matte Blood Red vinyl to do a clients laptop. They asked me if needed to apply heat for it to stick & look nice. So, do you, can you just lay it down like a normal vinyl stuff you get to do cupboards with like a a "big box store", if know what mean? Hope can help. Thanks, A
@CKWraps6 жыл бұрын

CK Wraps Thanks for the reply & forgot to tell you that question for wrapping pain rest and around keyboard/touch pad...as well as outer shell (to of laptop). I've used other wraps in last then started only using dbrand past few years, but Breen having issues, so recently reached out to Vvivid to give them a try. I'm assuming no matter what part I'm wrapping(or item) technique/application is the same correct(measure, layout, post heat, etc...trim, heat, etc.......done)? Again THANKS for the help, & as always hope you well. Cheers, A

Samir, as a fellow beginner, so far I've used TeckWrap, 3M, Avery Dennison, Arlon, no-name eBay, and now Vvivid. TeckWrap I found hard to work with...very thick and doesn't cold stretch very easily. 3M and Avery I found very similar; 3M I found their adhesive to be more tacky than Avery, but they both work about the same (i.e. very easy to work with). Arlon is very nice; their adhesive is not tacky at all but I found their vinyl to be very very thin; I've often "cut" through Arlon with my squeegee tucking into tight recesses (like mirrors). Cheapie eBay...well, it's cheap. The adhesive is very tacky making it difficult to reposition, it also leaves residue sometimes, but the film is thin so it cold stretches easily. Vvivid (I'm using regular XPO, not chrome) I'm finding is in between 3M/Avery/Arlon...thicker than 3M/Avery/Arlon (so a bit more difficult to cold stretch), but not as tacky as 3M/Avery (easier to reposition), and much easier to work with than cheaper brands. Plus the price is nicer than 3M/Avery/Arlon! (sorry to hijack the threds...wanted to provide feedback from one beginner to another!)

may I know why use Vvivid product but not other brands like 3M or Avery?
@CKWraps7 жыл бұрын
+SkipBack I only use Vvivid chrome for any chrome product but I do every every film when it comes to more basic color changes. We just happen to specialize in chrome installs over any other type of installation
