Happy National Redhead day haha! If nothing else from a strictly viewing perspective I feel like he should be super fun to watch, unless cheese keeps being discovered. The movement and fast pace aggression should make for really exciting games as opposed to Ivy games where you just walk and warp and stand still 50% of the game. Meta is about to just be spam tanks as much as you can, but the 3 perma ban system is just gonna make it harder and harder for survs.

I don’t think he’ll be so good he’s meta defining, I think his early game chase sucks. He can be transitional kited hard. Getting point blank at 3 occasions as a hunter isn’t easy. The jump is his best aspect of his kit. (A VERY LARGE part of how good he’ll be depends on what Netease reels in here for the kite. Like the through the wall at 3:05 or so- that shouldn’t be a thing, there’s plenty of things here that will probably be patched. But assuming there will be none or minimal I’ll continue) He will kind of have to run insolence here for his kit to work, and he’ll want both blink and or possibly even patroller but he can only choose one. He’ll then have to sacrifice the TP and then either sacrifice the trump card to TP for detention or vice versa. Unfortunate combo, not killing his potential but being locked into one way of playing or the other is easy to learn to counter and weakens a hunter’s potential. Additionally he’s got some ways to be kited. Like the corners. Ofc we’re all gonna be shocked when the “new way to kite” hunter doesn’t get kited by traditional ways of kiting. With sooooo many characters in IDV they needed to and now are starting to implement different game “breaking” characters that don’t necessarily break the game as in they’re so good but defy the usual way you’d play against them that isn’t just “oh I dodge their ability or counter them in this simple way.” Having to kite in a brand new way for versing new hunters is definitely the play for Netease here and I think most hunters we see going forwards are going to follow this format. I mean, there’s only SO many occupation’s they can make into a killer’s abilities anyway 😭😭 they can only crank up the over powered meter so much before the meta breaks. They now need to shift to niche and odd playstyles to counter the new weird that these new hunters will bring to the table. I think initially Hullabloo will be S tier, maybe for a season, especially considering the whole having to spend all your teams time practicing goat man to even get the 1 man out deal we’ve got rn there will be even less time to worry about Hullabaloo. But over the course of maybe 3 or so seasons people will realize he can be countered in untraditional and unorthodox ways and he’ll fall to A- tier, maybe even B tier in like a niche tourney viable scenario. Especially considering he lacks good map pressure and has very niche camping abilities that are usually not too good but occasionally are great if he meets the rescuer far out from chair and the environment is good for him. He may even benefit from running giant claw to make this happen more often. But I don’t think he’s broken in terms of good. He’s not Goat level, he’s likely not even Opera good. He may be a sort of new age wax artist character in terms of a win/loss hunter in round 3 that still has some potential for the safe tie if played right.

Ok so, I will be saying the same thing I said in Zeus' video. The tl;dr is that I think he's balanced and the main reason why people think he is broken is because of the dash. Alright so, I will be arguing in defense of Hullabaloo not being broken. Full disclaimer is that if I am wrong, then I am wrong; I am merely here to have a _civilized_ discussion about his current state. First, I will be going over his kit. He has the fastest base movement speed in the game, does not have an attack recovery can create clones to help him hit survivors, the ability to rotate his area of effect, and has a dash that can go over virtually anything very quickly. Now, in a vacuum (especially considering that he can get into 2 story areas), he'd seem broken. Which I can see why, however we have to consider the fact that he also is forced to his survivors 3 times just to damage them. And not only that, he has to hit them while they are in each zone to apply all 3 of his bombs onto the survivors. What does this mean? It means that no matter how many times you hit the survivor in the dry ice zone, they will not go down a health state. The clone helps him hit survivors, however the clone is stationary and can only be relocated once. And considering the fact that the circle is bigger than his attack range, survivors shouldn't have too much difficulty avoiding the clone (yes, I'm aware he can cancel the clone and automatically put it into cooldown). The dash itself is arguably his strongest ability, giving him the ability to just ignore any widow or pallet the survivors go over and hit them, so I won't really speak in defense for the dash itself. The circle can be rotated and then will be put on a 20 second cooldown, however the 3 areas will ALWAYS be facing the same direction unless rotated with his ability. The clone's area of effect can not be rotated once it's placed down, you need to rotate it first and then place the clone. Now with that out of the way, counterplay? Well, the first is for survivors to keep ensuring they don't get hit while in the last zone by continuously running towards the other 2 zones. Sure, he is fast, but the survivors can still delay the hit just by walking away from the zone. I could see an argument being made to never have the clay (black) zone never be your last zone to ensure you can slow down the survivors, but that won't always happen. I saw a video of another player kiting him and they just utilized the corners of map object to ensure Hullabaloo can't hit them unless he rotates his zones. Meaning if you can force out the rotation and find another corner of a map object to run to, Hullabaloo effectively can't do anything; and considering how many fast survivors we have, that won't be too much of an issue. *(If you need me to send you the video Zeus, I'll ping you in coaching server with a time stamp).* Remember how I said that his clone's zone can't be rotated? His map pressure won't be all too threatening. Sure, he makes you decode really slowly for 10 seconds with the dry ice (white) zone, but survivors really won't care too much since the only threat is having the dry ice bomb applied to you. Then there is his camp. Sure, he doesn't have an attack recovery, but that won't matter if he has to hit survivors 3 times just to at least injure them. And even in an ideal scenario where the clone is positioned to allow for possible terrorshocks, he still has to play ring around the rosie with the survivor to get the last zone hit on them. The rotation ability _might_ help, but that still won't stop most rescuers from being able to get a free rescue honestly. His dash is broken, I am not gonna argue on that. He gets 3 stacks and it recharges every 12 seconds, imagine if nightwatch had that. Onto counter picks, who do you pick to counter him? Multi-hit survivors are the most obvious option. I do believe you are wrong with saying you need multiple multi-hit survivors to counter him, since Mercenary can elbow pad his way to the chair to guarantee the rescue, and we've seen this happen even Opera Singers being unable to find the Merc and force a double hit. Meaning that survivors who are able to move a short distance very quickly are going to be able to deal with him. Then we have the harassers, Enchantress' ability to stun is just outside of his area of effect, Prospector can pre-emptively throw his magnet, Batter can just push him away, etc. And this is just for kiting, if we consider them actually harassing then the more long ranged characters can deal with him, especially Prospector who does not care at all if he's unable to use his abilities since the magnet will already be out. And we have to remember that the pyro (red) zone's effects only lasts for a second after leaving it, so realistically the only harassers you're truly stopping are the short ranged harassers. Speaking of which, Antiquarian can literally just move herself out of the pyro zone, slap him 3 times, and that's 12 seconds where he is unable to do anything to her. The distance pulling survivors can just move away from him before he hits them with the last zone, the multi-hit characters can just tank more hits, and the harassers all either can just stun him to delay hits or pull distance themselves to avoid getting hit. And this isn't even considering the fact that flywheel likely eats up the bombs and force him to hit you 3 times again (although I am not entirely sure about this one, someone test is please). If we assume I am wrong to an extent and he is another round 1 hunter, then we still have the fact that the one thing Opera, Ivy, Goat and Hulla have in common is that they generally get countered by roughly the same survivors. All of them would rather not deal with a Priestess (even they are fast), Gardener virtually either hard or soft counters all of them (she can still ensure at least a first 50 second kite even if she is never able to get her bubble off again for the rest of the match), all of them don't like Antiquarian to an extent, Coord and Lucky are just big middle fingers to their game flow (although against Goat I'd say it's a soft counter because his cages last 2 million years). The only real exception seems to be that Opera and Goat don't care about distance pulling survivors, however for Hulla I can see him struggling a bit. My solution? Pick a counter comp that has answers against all 4 of them. It's not ideal having to do it, but I do think tournament survivors will find a way. I do think that even if he will be a round 1 hunter, he will be the weakest of the 4 simply because of the counterplay I mentioned. Balance adjustments I have in mind? If we're really worried about it, then make the dash be a little slower and reduce dash amount to 2. If that's not enough, then increase the recharge rate of the dashes. I don't see the clone being that much of an issue, but I would like it if the clone's circle would rotate when Hullabaloo rotates his; basically just a nice quality of life buff for him. And if we're _really_ worried about it, we can always make the max presence ability have a cooldown, similar to how Wheel, Fool's Gold and Ivy have their max presence have built in cooldowns. I know I yapped a lot, but hopefully this helps you see him from another perspective. If I am wrong about his strength, then I am wrong. So no need to go "see I told you so" _(I'm watching you, random elk typing their rage comment)._

I don't think even idv team disagrees he's broken, they obviously testing new hunters out which is welcomed he's clearly getting nerfed which how it should be, and the first thing to go should be jumps or atleast increase cool downs, the second is how you kite this thing if you even can lol, the corner strat is fgn boring I couldn't even pay attention to kurushiro video and the other one because it looks even more boring then ivy. standing still and moving according to cool downs, on top of being impossible to get away with, will be a constant corner Diddy party and that's what I'm annoyed about first because he probably is getting nerfed in other things One other thing I absolutely hate about idv meta is hunters not being available quicker in pro games, goatman still not available in pro games and it's annoying people don't know how to kite him very strategically because he's also cringe. Like idv just plan you fgn tournaments and hunter availability and balances accordingly jeez...

Some of his jumping is BS. It’s like a speed run gameplay of some horror game and ppl just jumping walls to skip some scenes. That better be fixed. About countering him with corners… idk. It just seems unserious to me 😂 To me it has the same vibe like “just desert” or utilizing bugs to go to basement where theres no basement. I want to say that I dont believe in that strategy but who knows. Lolz.

You shouldn't have to sit in a corner to counter a hunter. The newer hunters are really getting out of control.
@connormcateer71252 ай бұрын
You can’t be surprised when a “don’t kite this hunter in the traditional way of kiting” hunter forces you to kite untraditionally. The new age of hunters is going to end up being breaking the game in the sense the traditional doesn’t work anymore, but niche specific hunter counters/playstyles will arise that counter the hunters in the same way traditional kiting counters current modern hunters rn.
@noice91932 ай бұрын
you can’t corner camp him even at no presence he has clones and can rotate his stage, all he needs to do is hit you once drop a clone then rotate his stage and hit you again. When hullabaloo players get better they will be able to apply 2 colour marks on you in 1 attack by hitting you in 2 different zones with his main body and his clone
