Thank you for this Screen Cast! This was very useful! One thing i have to add though. At 5:18 you begin to fill each shape with color using the eyepicker tool. Later on you use the gradient tool to smooth things out a bit by using drag and drop to modify the gradient. This does not work if the source box does not have a gradient applied since the gradient tool does not work "intuitive". So i assume the color fields must have a gradient applied and it is not shown how you pre-defined them in the video probably to speed things up? When i modify the color fields first and use the eyedropper to set the end of the gradient with the shift+click technique using a sligthly lighter color the gradient tool will work as expected at 5:18 since the gradient is also copied over to the leafs.

Good to learn. While doing, i find it difficult to add delete anchor point tool. Also subtract tool window and copying the S circle pasting time are a little confusing and needed practice to understand. Over all it is fine. Cheers.

i am pretty savvy with this kind of stuff but I seriously had trouble following.. first off, I could not set the color of the the eclipse shapes that were grey with a gradient. Instructions were not very clear. ugh:(

Finally finished this exercise. Thank you I got stuck at 2:04 (pathfinder/subtract). You did the subtract then you said "before that...". That was a bit confusing At 3:04, I spent an hour (possibly more) figuring out the Delete Anchor Point Tool. It kept resizing the circle, rather than resizing the 'leaf'. In the end I had to cheat lol Very great tutorial, under 10mins. Thumbs up
