I'm sorry about the little pause with my videos, there is a hard situation going on in Colombia right now, but I'm back, I wanted to hear this BAND-MAID song for some time, it was great! The variation of the second verse had some great moments made by the guitar and the bass and the bridge was extremely groovy!

Be safe, my friend! Everything sounds good. This song is one of my favorites, especially Misa's deep bass, so good! YOLO! Love the aggressive Kanami playing and solo! Band Maid songs generally are happy and uplifting! A underrated song from the Maid's! Hope you get to see the live steam, would love to hear your breakdown on it! I, for one, loved it!

Great reaction and stay safe. Tough to hear about such things in the world, and hopefully we who live in relative safety will vigilantly protect it. For me, Yolo is simply incredible songwriting - one of the first songs I heard that had me fall in love with the band. Interesting tidbit is that Kanami wrote the song as an instrumental prior to Band-Maid's formation. Kanami said she deleted most of her early songwriting, at least the stuff she submitted to her label that was subsequently rejected. I'm so glad she hung on to this one.

The instrumental of YOLO is on the single, very worth to listen, because you can hear more details, but this song played by her on piano is beyond beautiful.

BAND-MAID was prophetic in releasing Unseen World as such a heavy and chaotic album. When we see the situation in the world getting worse and worse, this album seems like a perfect reflection of the current reality. Against this modern background, the past songs sound almost soothing. O those good old days, as Saiki sings in "about Us"! I feel that a lot of upheavals are waiting for us in the near future. And certainly, music should inspire us for constructive actions! Viva BAND-MAID!

@@VladimirChupin Exactly, Vlad. I remember when WD came out and thought, shit, these girls are kinda going rad RnR. All the songs felt heavy and for me, a satisfying direction. (Still my favorite album!) But then C was released and it felt they were trying to sooth things out while experimenting. Again, awesome direction. And then UW and we're back too it. That's actually a good cycle for a growing band. I wonder what songs are swimming around in Kanami's head this year. More Progy? Metalish? A hodge podge collective of multi-genre hard rock? Either way, I'm happy. I hope you are able to - with all that's going on - feel optimistic about the future, Vlad. I'll bet the Maids do.

@@TomClark-Futoura Certainly, I try to feel optimistic, no matter what. When we feel pain, we cry. But it should not escalate to hysteria when we ourselves whip it up to a frenzy. I try to bear this principle in mind: if there's pain, try to stay calm, nevertheless, and be constructive. And music certainly helps here.

This is why I like to subscribe to reactors who are music or singing profesionals as you hear the work that is really going on in the song and there is a lot of work going on in this one, Kanami's work rate is non stop in this track and I always pick up something I hadn't noticed before thanks to your analysis, looking forward to that day dreaming special.
