I have no intentions in becoming a singer. but, the reason why i'm watching videos like this, is because i studder. I read a testimony about a man who had cured his studdering by doing various vocal exercises lip trills, the hiss, etc. so far i have been seeing a lot of improvements in my speech maybe I might take up singing as a hobby

So, I discovered Eric's channel couple nights ago. When I was a kid my grandma told me not to sing so I never did. Lately I have been having this urge to sing. so here I am . I have been staying up every night watching these videos and diligently practicing the techniques. I started secretly singing with the awareness I have received from Eric's videos. Guess what? I actually can sing :-) Thank you for your wonderful videos and passion that you deliver with every video you post. You have empowered me to reach a potential I didn't know I had :-)

I want to thank you so much for posting these. Three years ago I severely damaged my vocal chords (a mix of over use, muscular dysphonia due to a very stressful time in my life, and GERD burns in my larynx). I was completely unable to speak, much less sing. I went on complete vocal rest for 3 whole weeks, then went through speech therapy to at least regain speaking ability (I'd completely lose my voice, no sounds would come out, after only 20 minutes of soft speaking). While I did eventually gain my speaking voice back (to some degree. I still cant really yell anymore), I definitely lost my ability to sing. It was soul crushing to me. Three years later I still struggle with my voice. I still lose it a lot (even a night hanging out with friends is a lot of effort on my voice) and while I can sort of sing, all the clarity and edge is gone from my voice. I've been searching for years for something that might help at least regain some of that ability back. And your videos are the first thing I've found in years that have really started making a difference. Thank you so much. Maybe I'll never be a vocalist again, but if I could even sing for my own sake, I would be happy.
I just want to say thank you. I have only watched a few of your videos regarding warming up my vocals and strengthening them. And I have been trying them out and they really work. My lungs were injured in a lab and i never thought i would even live to see today. So im singing all over again after years of damage. I lead Praise and Worship now and before i would always lose my voice but following your instructions, i dont lose it anymore. God is so good and youremy Angel. Thank you

I use the 360/diaphragmatic workouts always when preparing for a gig/audition/rehearsal. It's all you need!! I haven't sung in a while so I've been working myself up to the Advanced workouts (dropped in the deep-end covering the lead in a heavy rock band eep!) - these videos are VITAL to prepare my voice and avoid any damage. Thank you, Eric! (we love you!)

Hi Eric Thank you for all your videos, this one is really a great one. One thing if I may add- one way to feel that connection to the root can be done first in a "frog" posture, when you do that twice or three times (inhaling while in that posture) you immediately feel the breath going down to your pelvis, and your hips. Then when you stand up again it is easier to recognize that feeling of expanding down there without the need to force it down.
@TheCEmily6 жыл бұрын
Liona Hotta what do you mean by "frog" posture? I'm struggling so much with that feeling of deep breath and I feel like I do it totally wrong, it makes me desperate :( I hope you'll reply.

It sounds like your saying that rooting is a more deeper breath, the tree trunk is the 360 breathing which is to be suspended and not collapsed and the tree branches is the chest expanding correct?
