And vice versa. For example, let's just achieve hitting one note. If you place your finger on the correct fret position, and make contact with the correct string. WA LA...simple enough, you have hit the correct note. On the trumpet....if you push the correct valve down on the trumpet...and buzz your lips (if you can) you still have a multitude of other systems of the body that must integrate together in order to HOPE.. you have hit the correct note. For example: efficient vibration with zero air escaping for the buzz of the lips, the correct angle of the tongue directing the air leaving your lips and entering the mouth piece, the exact pressure of the mouthpiece on the lips, regulating the volume of air leaving your lips, adjusting the buccinator muscle for the proper tightness or looseness of the lips for that particular note pitch, If I am playing an overture, jazz, or whatever....every single note requires all of those adjustments instantaneously. There is much much more...and I am sure there is much more to hit the correct pitch with your instrument. However, our sound is originating from control of the air WITHIN.. our body. Our note begins internally...your note is all external. Let's appreciate all instruments....and learn the challenges of all. Then....and only then can we live in harmony of appreciation of all instruments. Your statement was like: "My daddy can beat up your daddy".

@brothercuber3288
@brothercuber3288 Жыл бұрын
@ldkmelon I agree. I'm stuck with big hands, which makes playing scales much more awkward. So much so that F# major is easier than C major. Sometimes I wish for smaller hands ngl. Then I play an octave + a fourth and am reminded that having big hands has its own pros as well. Big hands are harder, but smaller hands need to learn extra technique to replicate something like rachmananoff. Then again, that's not hard at all, it's just a normal jump of a couple of octaves yet easier.

Everyone feels like that believe me he’s not. Back when I had been playing for about 4 years I went to a Christmas pantomime and in it there was a trumpet player who was supposed to sound bad. They sounded like eddy btw. And at the time I literally thought to my self “they’re better way than me”. Now after I think 7-8 years of playing I still assume that everyone with a trumpet is a thousand times better than me even with being told the opposite. All musicians think they’re worse than they are.
