I installed a flip-out screen radio one of my older FLH. It blocks the Speedo/Tach, when flipped out, but it’s awesome. Gives me touch screen, large screen for GPS, and plays videos/DVD’s. I’ve used it to mirror my phone, so KZbin/etc if need be. I have yet to see someone else do it.

I’ve seen that on older road glides, the angle is weird on the old shark nose fairings and typically the mechanism breaks on the stereo.

Purchased this product for my 2022 Roadglide ultra, cause having the same temptation when riding... I can't get the home screen to show on the head unit. Contacted the company hopefully they will be able to help me with this issue. Work great in my car, with a Pioneer head unit though so not a total loss if it won't work.

You aren't the only guy, but nobody's preference is the right way for everyone. Long distance blasts at 80 when using the bike to cover miles it is nice to listen to tunes and have a way to know where I am going besides blue painters tape on the tank. There are other ways to do things, and they aren't wrong.

I personally don't use a lot of the features on the GTS Boom but I'd like to be able to use a Sena, my phone, and the GTS all together without getting that ding dang WHIMS thingy. They're a guitar/bass/drum instramental group that is awesome, they even play with Stevie Vai), I don't look at the movie too much, it just kind of background noise. So... having Star Wars A New Hope running as background noise... and the trench run comes on as your navigating heavy traffic at speed on the internet... Okay, maybe that'd be a bad idea...

I think you can't judge people and decide what's right for them. I knew this comment was going to come, and I have always said my favorite button on the stereo is the off button. The truth is long haul blasts at 90mph on the turnpike where you don't turn for hours and hours, it's nice to have tunes and know where you are going. I feel like most of the people that make this comment only ride one way, and in their local area. If you do long hauls, music is nice.

I ride both. Short commute to work (most of the time) and also enjoy long rides. I’ve been riding since I was 16. I just turned 50. I enjoy the sound of my SG. I love being in the open, in the weather, hearing the wind and all the environmental sounds around me. But I also enjoy music. Sometimes on a long ride, sometimes on a short ride. Depends on my mood. If I’m running to the store I might rock out, might not lol. I appreciate your videos. I’ve been looking for a good car play “thingy”. This might be the one.
