The box you pointed to was the controller adapter for your radio , allows you to use the volume and next song switch on your hand controls. Just FYI if you didn’t have it you would only be able to use the buttons on the radio. I know this because my went bad lol .

I don’t have a harley (yet). Sport bike guy here transitioning soon. But sometimes when I take my fairings off I used Painters tape (blue). To temp hold things together when Re assembling. Helps when you don’t have a second hand. Love the channel and huge help getting into the harley world.

You dont have to remove the innnsr faring to replace the fuel and volt gauge, I used a ling driver with the torque bit on it.. Easy job.

That USB port is the one for radio software upgrades. There’s two. The other is the one used for Apple CarPlay/android auto. I love the Sony 7000. Been using it for almost 2 yrs. The 10sec to boot up and music playing is the best!

You don't need to take all 4 screws out if the small side wind deflectors. Just remove the lower ones and leave the top ones on.

Put mid controls on it. That's my plan for my 2016. It'll be way better for your knees and for blood flow. Big Bear Performance has a kit.

The easiest screws to install and hold the faring are the 2 inner windshield screws.

Just a thought - sometimes the speedo’s are married to the ECM, like a tuner is. When I swapped out the speedo on my Dyna for a multicolor HD Speedo, it married to the ECM after 33 miles (50 km).

Love that light - one is sitting on mine too. Btw, those side “wind deflector” bolts… you only need to remove the bottom ones in order to pull the outer fairing. Makes it a bit easier going back on.

Funny, I figured that out putting it back on. I’ve always done all four for no reason… on the CVO you have to do all 4 cause of the lower fang fairing.

I have a 15 RGS ans swapped gauges from a 17 Ultra and now I get a Vin Error code. I'm sure by now someone has mentioned the 2 satellite gauges can be removed without removing anything else

That attack headlight is such a great update to the roadglides. Looks damn good. Do the stock speedos vin lock? I mean if not, then thats an awesome option to put the stock limited gauge in the roadie. Was going to do something to my 17 SGS, but decided to make the road king speedo look better.

You know good an well your not done lol. When you disassemble for color swap your going to remove all the air ride and do a new suspension. And I don't blame you I'd do same thing. Harley makes the footboard to peg conversion I'll take them if your going to throw them away. Next bike will be a 16 road glide special hard candy black and gold flake. Just like my breakout.

Mr. Monkey, is there a way to adjust the Attack headlight up or down? I have a 22 RGL and I'm aware there is an adjustment bolt under the fairing. Just can't tell if it will work with the Attack. Thanks.

There is no up/down adjustment. I have the Amazon version of the Attack headlight, and the only way to adjust it is to shim either the top or bottom mounts, depending on which way it needs to go. Lots of guys are saying it sits a bit lower than they like, (mine is the same way,) so I'm going to use something to shim the bottom mounts about 1/4", hopefully that will achieve the desired results. I'm very happy with the light output from these lights, but the lack of adjustment capability is a bit disappointing, as I've found that unless I'm doing in town speeds, I'm very often outrunning my low beams.
