Hello Tim Swain, I really appreciate your efforts diving into an in depth subject which I often discuss with my African American fiancée. I really love your content and your guest speaker. That was indeed a sensitive and insightful conversation. The truth of the matter to resolve this adamant situation surrounding Africa at large not just Ghana is to rethink about a new path or transition into a new ideology politically, religious wise, economically, culturally and educationally for the Africans. The West intentionally created this blueprint of our present society for their benefits and that's why they are in one way or the other involved in our business until today. Like you did ask your guest speaker about is there hope for Africa? Yes, there is hope and it is already in effect right now , the new dawn of change is at the doorsteps of Africa, basically the new world order will benefits and favor Africa at large and here is the time when the west will reap what they sold in Africa unapologetically. Those are my thoughts and I will be looking forward to engage on in depth conversation with you in the future.

Tim, Respectfully, there is a lot to unpack but I'll try to keep it concise. Your elder respected and educated guest stated without question that Africans knew God before the European enslavers came with their missionaries and the bible. Doesn't it then suggest that since we already knew God but somehow still needed bible toting Europeans to "complete or augment" our knowledge of God, that our systems of reverence for the creator as Africans were considered inadequate by them; and for us to accept their "augmentation" was a sign that we ourselves considered ourselves and our spirituality inadequate? Does it not also tend to pander to the narrative that they, the Europeans were superior even in their understanding of the Creator and we the "African savages" were "lost" without their intervention? Does it not imply that the African methods of spirituality fell short of "what God expected of humankind" but somehow the Europeans had the memo and perfect template as to what the Creator wanted of mankind and we Africans were here in Africa playing a guessing game about how to best reverence our Creator? Has your learned guest, if you happen to know; as versed and as educated as he is ever questioned the veracity of the bible "IN IT'S CURRENT FORM"; since history and valid research have proven time and time again that some accounts within it have been "plagiarized" from ancient texts that predate it by thousands of years? Is your guest, oir elder, familiar with the curators of the bible as we know it today? Namely the Council of Nicaea and other councils? Has he or yourself done any research on the people who made up these Councils and their "elite positioning" at the time they curated the texts? Is he or you familiar with the document "King Leopold's Letter to the Missionaries"? Another research piece that an easy Google search will unearth. Is he, your guest; oir elder, familiar with the fact that Pope Francis in 2017 admitted to the church's involvement in deliberately removing the name YHWH from the bible, (in its current form)? Yhe book of Exodus to be specific. Easy to Google. Point being; their character has to be questioned. Having been the custodians of this heavily curated text put into question the content of the text they "allowed" for public consumption since they have clearly admitted to being party to hiding aspects of it. It is fair to ask what more have they hidden. Yes? Then there is the issue of the age of the earth versus the timeline of creation as it is accounted, but that's another discussion for another day because I have already betrayed my promise to be concise. For reference regarding texts that predate the bible and from which many similar accounts in both the old and new Testament are remarkably similar; 1. Sumerian Texts 2. The Enuma Elish- Accounts of the Flood👈🏿[CORRECTION EDIT] This account is called THE EPIC IF GILGAMESH. (The story eerily and strikingly similar to the story of Noah. This epic predates the bible by thousands of years)👈🏿 [ADDED TO ORIGINAL COMMENT] 3. The Emerald Tablets of Thoth -Studied by the likes of Isaac Newton 4. The Books of Enoch 5. The Apocryphal Texts Just to name a few. It was a great interview but filled with contradictions. Thanks for being brave enough to confront tough issues but dig deeper my brother. The answers you seek are in plain sight. When you have lost something there is no place you should exclude from searching because you do not know where the thing you lost is; you look everywhere because it literally could be anywhere. Cheers fam.

Please indulge me a bit further. I erred to give more credit to your guest our elder, my apologies. His knowledge of Ghanaian history as it pertains to religion is admirable. I enjoyed hearing the history of how the Akan were able to hold on to their culture in spite of the colonial aggression and their imposition of their "religion". I enjoyed hearing the stories of how they "merged" the new religion with traditional practices and was relatively successful in keeping the enslaver's agents in the dark. I also enjoy and felt somewhat vindicated actually on hearing that there were some aspects of the new religion that was not able to address some of their issues like spiritual attacks and health issues to the degree that the fetish priests were still consulted. Says a lot doesnt it? I am actually aware that this still happens today among Ghanaian parishioners. Is a PART II interview with our elder planned?

Bro! U have done it finally! Where did u find Mr. Sampong? This is what I've been shouting out from the mountains, that, with KZbinrs or AAs who want to know the history of the country, origins of practices/cultural norms, please please stop talking to the youth? They know nothing! I get so frustrated when we watch these videos and see or hear some Ghanaian under 50s or even 60s, saying all kinds of things that are plain not true!! I'm so happy u found him. U finally hit the jackpot! Congrats bro! U are ahead of them all! Hey, everyone, please hit the like button, while we finally sit at the feet of our REAL elder, and also formally educated enough to know! Hey Tim, can we keep him please?!

Tim has a subtle Ghanaian accent. Rasta was not only worn by the African priests, but by the kings, peinces and warriors especially in the Senegambia region. I am content worshipping the spirituality of my ancestors (Seereer spirituality, "A fat Roog"). I can never bring myself worshipping a foreign god brought by foreign invaders and murderers.

I’m order to be indoctrinated into Christianity one needs to first denigrate themselves and truly accept that belief so that the cure is seen as relief. It seems from what he’s saying is that Africans once had an honest approach to reaching god and like the rest of us here came the missionaries whether they came with the sword or Jesus, we have to first be stripped of something to receive it. I’m glad I’ve found my way out

I will elaborate more and piggyback on what Dr. Sampong said about corruption. Yes corruption affects Africans more, but the truth is corruption is indeed a foreign concept introduced by the western countries into Africa. Follow the money! Who keeps all the hidden corrupt money. Switzerland 🇨🇭, cayman island 🏝️, several tiny islands all over the world, several multinational companies operating in Africa! ALWAYS FOLLOW THR MONEY! 💰

Watching this saddens my heart. All these pastors know we relate more to our local tongue, yet they will never advocate for our local norms to be documented + advocating for our syllabus to be reviewed and thought in our own language... All bounch of hypocrites.

I like this video a lot. Very interesting topic. But, Ietting African corruption off the hook as some sort of import from Europeans is a wild assertion to make. Very unserious when he said that. 😂 The audacity of that statement...yikes.

Why are we so focused on the color of Jesus? Black people we have a long way. Featurism, tribalism, racism, colorism has really affected us even the way we worship the Son of God!!! I don’t see color when it comes to our savior. He’s more than just white or black . Our truest being is in a spirit form. Let’s focus on that . Flesh is really not important.
