I can never get Professor Longhair's music out of my head. Love it!

Excellent! You are a good teacher, closeup of right hand with 2 fingers doing a rhythm while the "g" is locked down is just one element among many that may just allow me to try to do this wonderful music!!

Brendan. Hey, I want to thank you for this. What you are doing is hugely valuable. I help keep Boogie / Professor Longhair alive in Wellington: New Zealand. I totally value your channel. Just wanted to let you know chap ..

I'm gonna freaking do this for 10 minutes a day till it's solid. Maybe a 10 min warm up and 10 min cool down.... Sounds so amazing.

The Dirty Dozen Jazz band (also from New Orleans) play a similar structure, but with tuba, sax, trombones and trumpets, emphasised by s nare and bass drum (played by two different drummers).

Its great stuff, this is the Hey Little Girl central riff. I've pretty much got the basics of Tipitina and this will be my next Fess tune! Thanks Brendan!!

I love the fantastic camerawoman's "It means get on with it" repartee to get the tutorial going. And I dug the tutorial of Fess' technique. You a trip, man. Keep 'em coming. No vitamin B supplement necessary.

A Dr K & Band jam session on some boogie/blues classics would be really cool to see. Thank you for your videos, Brendan. If I see you around in London, I owe you a beer! All the best.

I really appreciate your lessons, I think they are awesome, but do you choose your thumbnail pictures for KZbin yourself? Because for me they show very different persons explaining something in front of a piano. That feels a bit confusing, not to say deceptive.

great tutorials :D thanks a lot. I was wondering: the woogie booge is played only in C?
@ThatBoomerDude7 жыл бұрын
Of course C is usually the easiest key to learn. And a lot of his beginner lessons are probably in C. But Boogie Woogie can be in any key.

Fess's rhythm patterns, both right and left hand, are without peer. You've done quite well at capturing them. Great job! 🎹🎹🎹🎹👍

Thank God he constantly names who he s talking to. The camera person might get confused and think that he is talking to another person that s in the room.
