I've just finished reading her book "ALL THAT REMAINS" and want to say that I'll definitely get back to it again because it's undoubtedly worth reading and rereading. It's insane how a person dealing with death can put her storytelling in an uplifting way intermingling gruesome details with hilarious anecdotes and witty remarks, not to mention a great deal of amazing scientific and historical facts which interrupted my reading by necessity to do some googling. And her language is truly remarkable - she's a wonderful writer.

What incredible work the professor does. Sue Black is truly inspirational and valued member of science. Being an anatomists must be a traumatic field to work in especially with child death and abuse. Thank you for your time, effort and skill in helping people and families you never knew have some sort of peace after such atrocities.

I've followed sue Black for a number of years due to a television documentary series she did. I'm definitely going to be buying this book. What she does is so so important not just for evidence she can find but more importantly for the families of the people she examines and hopefully can identify. X

I have the utmost respect for her. What an incredibly strong and intelligent woman. She literally has to hardest and most important job I can honestly think of. Wow, hats off to this lady. My dad was killed with three other family members in a plane crash. The plane wasn’t found for over a year. By this time all bodies were just piles of bones. Coroners office determined the remains of at least 3. I understand how her job can not only convict the accused but bring closure for families also.

Unless I’m mistaken, Dr. Black is referring to the war crimes committed during the Yugoslav War.. I actually had a classmate whose family escaped from that, but until today I had no idea how brutal and horrifying it was. RIP to the innocents. Slobodan Milošević, the former President of Yugoslavia, was tried for war crimes at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) lasted from February 2002 until his death in March 2006. Milošević faced 66 counts of crimes against humanity, genocide and war crimes committed during the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

This is an absolutely inspirational woman, who has a wonderful sense of humour in spite of dealing with horrific incidents. Professor Sue Black does not claim that she has been subjected to the old catchcry poor me I am a woman, therefore, a victim. of white male misogyny This amazing woman has done it all on her own ability and efforts, like most successful people paying whatever the personal cost was. I pray at her philosophies and attitudes become contagious.
