Great lecture, thanks for uploading. Some great takeaways: Rights place limitations on other people's freedoms, that's their function in the moral sphere. Your rights limit my freedom and my rights limit your freedom. In this sense we can think of rights as invisible "no trespassing" signs which means you may want to but morally you're not free to invade my body, you may want to but morally you're not free to injure me or to crush my organs or to blind me or to break my arms, in case you haven't noticed, there's somebody here, this body belongs to somebody, no trespassing. When it comes to my life, you're not at liberty to take it, it's not yours. It happens to belong to somebody, it's mines. And the same in your case too. I'm not at liberty to take yours. And the same is true when it comes to freedom, you are not at liberty to take mine and I'm not at liberty to take yours. This is the essence of the demand for animal rights!

Most of the time I feel like nothing will ever change, because human beings are inherently cruel, and most of us incredibly stupid. I am so glad that people like Tom Regan exist though, he gives me hope. RIP maestro

Thank you very much for uploading this presentation!! And thank you, Tom Regan, for inviting us in this sensible, sensitive, uplifting and loving way. Animals never belonged to us. Animals deserve our veganism. That's just the first step. Rest in peace 🍀
