Idea for free lift, add 2 small magnets to the bottom of the secondary lift structure and the other to the non-lifting base (near the motor winch). Ideally this will hold the secondary lift structure and only move the forks at first, then when the forks hit the top the winch will then also pull the secondary lift structure off the magnet and it should ride.

i love it, but im kinda disappointed, that you didnt use the propane tank as a batterycontainer with hidden contacts.. that would be soo cool.. :D open the strip, take off the propane container, open a hatch of the container and inside there could be the battery.. and the container itself could have hidden contacts on the side that has contact with the body of the forklift.

I have found when printing tyres that the sidewall causes problems with how the tyre compresses. It is basically a hard support right at the edge. If you can change it to look like one of those airless tyres with spokes then you can get it much more consistent along the width of tyre instead of having a thick top and bottom surface. You might have good results by not having a top or bottom surface and just use infill instead. You could also try breaking up the top and bottom surfaces by making them stepped or wavy so that it isnt a solid layer and instead ccan compress better.

@erictrinque6513Ай бұрын
mayhaps get some heavy LB test fishing line for sea fishing for the pulley systems. smooth or textured(braided) gives some options for friction testing. Also when driving a lift, you pick your pallet slightly off the floor, then tilt mast back as far as possible so the wedging factor you found can be utilized with a small catch tab on the body of the mast, and lift frame to stop the mast from raising the intermediate portion unless tipped for a few mm to effectively unlock the mast from the body. Super cool project man. Great work
@mohamedzafir8566Ай бұрын
Also wouldve been cool if you tried to lift a forklift with the other forklift, well it kinda happened at 18:34. Maybe even a forkliftception of all 4 forklifts carrying each other, i guess its unkikely to hold all that weight but a forklift pyramid might be possible

We really need a peterbuilt truck and a Scania cabover truck. Flat trailer for loading but dual purpose for sea cans. I feel like a classic flatbed trailer would allow easy loading of equipment without the pain of navigating in a box truck. You should also design for lights that can be connected via one of those small white socket clips you find on circuit boards since they are already cheap and easily available. Don't forget a speaker for honking!

Couple suggestions. Instead of using lithium grease, get some Armor All. I used to work at a Self Storage company many moons ago, we always kept our roll up doors lubricated with it. Reason being that it won’t gunk up and it doesn’t trap dirt like grease will. For the string, get something like “Fireline” fishing line. It’s very durable and it’s kind of slippery.
@NiyaKouya21 күн бұрын
Great forklift, looks like a lot of fun ^^ Since you want to follow up with a truck, the first idea that sprung to mind was one of those trucks that carries a special forklift (shorter and wider to fit the truck form) on its "bootie". But that would probably mean that you'd have to redesign most of the forklift chassis ^^;

As for the trailer, there are several options, 1) Logging trailer to go with the Excavator with clamp attachment, 2) a low boy to haul all these fun toys, OR 3) A BEER TANK for all the fun to have with the boys while playing with the toys!!!! And actually allow it to be filled with beer and a pump to dispense it into the cups that it could hold somehow. And of course make the holder to hold a standard Red solo cup!!!!
