Dave is the REAL deal. He lives what he preaches on a daily basis, unlike so many of the self-proclaimed "outdoor experts" that are all over the TV and YT these days. I was sad to see him leave Dual Survivor because he was the best part of that show. I'll never forget the episodes when he made a hammock and snow shoes from scratch. The man has some amazing skills.

i grew up in south Alabama. as kids we played in the woods. we walked for miles back into the woods behind the house. we built shelters and tipis just for fun. we learned to build fires the proper way out of trial error. its good to see someone teaching others this knowledge. i have watched countless videos of yours to learn more than what i already knew or learn a better way. aslo you give the reason or reasons behind each skill or technique. thank you for passing it on.

I really miss you and Cody on dual survival. I really hope one day that show gets renewed with the two of you together again.
@websolutions61178 жыл бұрын
I'm not even that interested in survival stuff, but the original Dual Survival with Dave and Cody was my favorite show because I loved seeing their enthusiasm for survival skills and their respect for the outdoors. Because of this, I trust them. You can't fake enthusiasm. It is obvious after watching their two seasons of Dual Survival that they are the real deal! Dave did admit that he fudged his resume but all that he has done on the show and his KZbin videos greatly outweigh that. The drama of the show and the interaction between them drew me in, but I learned all kinds of things about self reliance that I never would have if I hadn't watched the show. I also became impressed with their vast knowledge of the outdoors (animals, plants, landscape, etc.). I want them back on TV (or together on KZbin) and I know there are probably millions of other people that want to see them back on the air too. When is a network going to put them back on the air? Together!!!

Sir I like several other thousands of foke had no clue of your so called wrong doings nor did or do care what you did or didn't do your private life is no concern to the majority of us. But your skills and teaching of the outdoor skills is what we watched and wanted or we wouldn't have been watching. I personally watched to learn and wanted the knowledge you offered may never have to use any of it but the idea of knowing more than I did and what little I was able to retain due to lack of use may someday save my life or someone else's. So with that in mind thanks for the knowledge you passed on to us that wanted to know. Also your at the time survivalist team mate Mr. Cody. Who also passed on to us his ways combined with your knowledge made a hell of a system to us that could combine the two a awesome experience or the best of the best survival techniques....again thanks and your private mater's is no concern to the majority of us so carry on bro screw the criticism and keep up the good work cover you 6 and steadfast and loyal. SNAFU.....

I absolutely agree with Canterbury's preserving knowledge point of view And the concepts of Pathfinder School. Living waaayyy down South in Uruguay (and funny enough from Icelandic stock or in other words "from one Pole to the other"), and with 58 years, I made a lifetime plan to prepare my kids for a crisis or chaos situation, but if that doesn't take place, they will also be able to transmit their knowledge to their kin. Keep it up. (Follow him since 2013 or may be before) A "wealth of knowledge" as someone on KZbin defined him.)
