Rick,I don't know if you'll ever see this comment but I hope you do. We saw your concert last night and when you talked about depression I felt very emotional. I felt for you in my heart and I also felt a little for myself. I have fought with severe depression for over 20 years now and you know the illness can make you feel so alone so hearing you talk about it made me feel not so alone. So we keep fighting! Thank you.

It amazes me that someone as talented and innately intelligent as Rick Springfield can be as crippled by something as pervasive as severe depression. I've seen him perform live and I'm always struck by the energy enthusiasm he pulls out of himself on stage. I have been depressed most of my life, but ill health and loss of loved ones have brought me to despair. I am not fortunate to have family, nor am I fortunate enough to have the talents but he displays. This is very difficult for me to say because I have a master's degree in counseling. I think I picked that career to figure out myself, but at 61, paralyzed by multiple sclerosis and living in a nursing home, I doubt that I'm going to figure out my problems now. But I must say but I truly enjoy Rick's talent and I'm certainly glad that he did not carry out his suicide plan. I hope he stays strong for many years to come.

My heart goes out to you. I have a friend who is 45 with MS, she is having some problems walking and now even though she has a decent college degree, she is looking into applying for disability because she's just not getting hired because of her physical issues. And I myself am disabled with bipolar disorder. We all have to carry on. I'm glad Rick Springfield is being so open about depression. I wish more people were.

Been a fan of Rick's since I was 15 years old. I suffered (& still do)from depression & an eating disorder & Rick's music saved me. I had heard from someone that you needed to find one thing that you needed to do before you die & mine was meeting Rick. I met him a couple of years ago right after my Dad passed at a meet & greet. I had him right on my Working Class Dog Album. To 15 year old Megan - you made it through the storm ❤ Rick. For me that is how depression is, like a storm that comes & I know I just need to ride it out. This to shall pass.

Take Rick's lead.... REACH OUT... Ask how people are doing, that are in your life.... You many not recognize, that behind a front they're putting up is depression.. BE SOMEONE's CLARENCE!! If that reference isn't obvious to/for you, ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE. YOU can be someone's real life Angel. Jesus, is our Saviour, but you can be the little-case "savior" for someone suffering and in need of help. Remind them, while they may not have stopped a pharmacist (like in the film) from potentially killing someone with a wrong medication - LITTLE THINGS WE ALL SAY AND DO CAN AND DO HELP SHAPE OTHERS' LIVES, and they others, and so on and so on!! I too am a Suicide attempt survivor. So this strikes home to me. I too, like Rick, have written about it ("Every day 22 Veterans take their own Lives (but far more than Vets suffer Suicidal thoughts)" at/on Before It's News platform), shared it over radio airwaves, etc... IF YOU HAVE SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, YOU ARE NOT ALONE, YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE WANTED, YOU ARE NEEDED!

I know that it was very difficult to share your story with the other people like me buy that was a very brave thing for you to do and rick spring field i am praying for you and your family members and your friends and my sister Kerri is one of your thousands and thousands of your fans and I am too and I know that it was so difficult to write about all of the stuff that you went through but i have some good news to tell you 70 or so days a go i was suffering from the same problems that you had plus i had scars and the wounds that needed to be healed so i decided to bring them to the lord Jesus and after that happened I felt like God was telling me fear not and a gentle person was standing right in front of me and thank God he put his gentle hands upon my chest and I felt like he turned on a warm amazing water and he put his hands gently upon the scars and wounds it is not easy to forgive the person or the people that have hurt you or something like that but I know that if we forgive those people who have hurt us very deeply that we will be able to be healed and together all of the scars will be healed and wounds will be mended by the blood of Jesus through the grace of God and by the way i and my sister Kerri are your spiritual sisters since the 1980s sincerely Shannon

We all suffer through depression... the only healing of our sin sick soul is Jesus Christ. He died to set us free from sin, death and hell! This is so sad to me that Rick hasn’t realized that Jesus is our only hope... not religion ... not churchianity but repenting towards God and believing on Jesus The Christ for the salvation of his soul... there is no other Savior!

Only Christ Jesus can heal the Pain and give Peace, Contentment. No amount of fame, success, money, sex, relationship's, materialism can heal the Pain & Void. It wasn't until you become Born Again (John 3:3) in Christ Jesus that you'll find the missing pieces. Ultimately we are made to glorify God, Now and Forever. Only then will you find what's missing. This why so many in the entertainment industry turn to sex, drugs and money ultimately it Doesn't fulfill the SOUL. Find your purpose and Contentment in Christ alone! 🙏💯♥️🕊️📖
