Here is the answer, only for the people who didn't understand im middle of the sum, x*117/100×1600-x × 127/100 = 1600 × 121/100 17x × 1600*127 - 127x = 1600 ×121 -10x × 1600*127 = 1600*121 -10x = 1600(121-127) x=960 Where 1600-x => 1600 - 960 => 640kg

In both the questions, X represents Kg and not an amount in rupees. In such case, logically is it correct to find 5% profit on X since it does not represent amount in rupees? Or, should I assume each Kg of rice is bought for one rupee? Your explanation for this would be greatly appreciated.
