hemant kumar ....it's by the rule itself....if u sell the same materials one for profit and one for loss ( both having same value) there will always be loss . It is also proven by the detailed method. so when u calculate x2/100 . the value will always be a loss percentage

Sir in qs 4 in ur first method how the 30% =750... As they said 750 more???

shri Krishnaarthi ....in the question it says he sold it for 20% loss.....then again said if he had sold for 750 more....here he is talking about the SP which gave him 20% loss. If the seller had sold the article at SP( which gave him 20% loss)+750 ....it gives him 10% profit. So see he had to first clear 20% loss and then get 10% profit . Total difference is 30% which is equal to 750 in the question
