You really don't have to clear them. You just overwrite them when doing another calculation. However, to reset NOM and EFF to 0, Press 2nd ICONV followed by 2nd CLRWORK. This does not affect C/Y.

To reset all values, press 2ND, RESET, ENTER. To clear NOM and EFF (not C/Y), press 2ND, ICONV, 2ND, CLRWORK. However, you don’t need to reset them, you can always overwrite them.

Hi joshua may I ask if i am trying to annualise a monthly interest rate, am I able to do so on the TIBA2plus? For eg. the monthly interest rate is 0.273%. so if i annualise it the formula would be [(1+0.00273)^12] -1 * 100% to derive 3.33%. am i able to use the iconv function to achieve this result?

around 0.39 you mention that Nominal Rates are not not compounded but it's written that it's compounded, can you confirm this please

I mean, when we say "nominal", we are saying that it is compounded monthly, quarterly,...not annually. If it is compounded annually, we will just refer to it as the effective rate instead of saying "nominal rate compounded annually" which means exactly the same. In other words, we use "nominal" when it compounded otherwise than annually.

Once you convert the nominal rate, how do you use it to solve a payment calculation without having to enter it again?

Once the value shows up on your screen, just press the I/Y button. It will automatically store it. You can clear the calculator and then check by pressing RCL, then I/Y, to confirm the value is stored.
