There is no cold war happening, I believe the US lost a rival in former USSR in 1991; So it created a new one to maintain & increase American competitiveness. Remember China and US fought side by side in WW2 against Axis powers.

Prof Khan - Please request US, Canada and Washington post and your contacts in China, Istanbul and Malaysia to do investigation and provide details to the world on who from west took action on Iranian President. This kind of activity against president of Iran is not correct, whoever has done it is condemnable. Ask them to do proper work on these open and daring issues and would request you to give a detailed video.

@Professor Muqtedar Khan sahab, you say that 100% customs duty will be applicable on ALL imported EVs and not just Chinese EVs. Similarly one would presume that the customs duty on medical equipment will be applicable on ALL imported medical equipment, whether imported from China or from India. Then Sir, how do you say that customs duty on medical equipment will benefit India? Could you please explain. Thank you.

By the way, Sodium Ion based battery research is going in advanced stage in India and some EU countries. This may be game changer and technology likely go global soon (2024). But , china will capture market before that with Li-Ion batteries (china had already invested huge in Li-Ion and need to get back ROI)

Competitive advantage works when the instrument of trade/exchange is barter. When you introduce money, and that too fiat money, then the picture changes. The country whose currency is used as deserve currency, can keep printing it’s currency ( cost pf printing US$ 10o is just $0.19) to pay for its imports. This distorts the global market. It will lead to Us becoming a Consumption economy with hardly any manufacturing and some countries will become manufacturing centres. So what will America sell - ARMS! And for that you need wars ! I think people have got a hang of it and the reserve currency era will go. It might take time, but it’s going to happen. Globally, the combined GDP will go down, but standard of living will improve in non western countries. You will see GDP of US coming down to 4-5 trillion and a massive decline in standard of living in the USA. I give it about 10 years max.

Truth is Chinese assembly lines and cheap and dedicated workers will outperform US and European counterparts anytime and anywhere. Results of fight for rest of global markets will overwhelmingly favour China but that marketsize is not very large( e.g India, the biggest of them will not provide open access to China,same with Indonesia). Clearly Chinese overcapacity will be rendered redundant unless they start manufacturing overseas. Western economies will invariably shrink unless they develop new and unique technology and product s.

6:57 BYD is not popular in China. BTW BYD builts batteries for TESLA too. BYD is being sold in exports. I was in Guangzhou last week and a EV called Aion is just 20k usd. It charges in 45minutes and do 300km on Highway without ac, 260 with ac. DIDI drivers told me in city it travels 240-260 km. AION is a beautiful car.
