Will the Profoto A1, if used as a main light off camera (with Nikon version trigger) also trigger a pair of Nikon SB900s? If so, can all 3 flashes be used in TTL? Alternatively, can the Nikon SU-800 trigger the Profoto A1 and have it work TTL with the 2 Nikon SB900s?

The Profoto TTL system is different than the Nikon CLS. You could tigger the SB900s via their optical slave, but nt with TT: and no control from the remote. The SU-800 cannot be triggered or controlled by the SU-800. In short, the TTL systems do not speak the same language so to speak.

For another 700 you could buy the new 1BX. I know which one I'll be going for.

No doubt I personally would buy a B1x first for my work, but if you've got those or are looking for something small, this guy is pretty nice.
