Thank you Mr and Mrs Coach! This song with her intense and rich voice leaves me in a profound awe 😍. The louder the better and in a loop and also in summer (sometimes) 🤭. My Christmas turned dark a few years ago, so it seems like the darker versions of Christmas songs are for me now. Happy Holidays! 🎅🤶🎄🎁

I am not always known to be profound, but I have to say Tarjas "Dark Christmas" is a fantastic album. I have been listening to it this holiday season and although it doesn't give the usual holiday cheer, it does give you something to think about. The music really grabs you. I would absolutely be down for you guys doing the full album even though it would spill over outside of Christmas time. If you do it slowly enough you will have time to start her second Christmas album by the time it rolls around again.😜

Hi Guys Love this Album. Merry Christmas. It's because Tarja's Mom and other people don't like Christmas. Tarja's daughter is in a couple of videos Her name is Naomi. You can really hear her classical training
@tamashii6670Ай бұрын
@@christinaalgate4899 What? Because Tarja's mom don't like christmas? No, definitely not... And she passed away already, do you know? Tarja said in one of her interviews to first dark christmas albums about it. In Finland, especially in such small village where Tarja grew up, christmas is very important time and she was spending every christmas with her family, but after her mother's death for few years she couldn't enjoy this time due to absence of her mother. And there are many people who have similar experiences or from many other reasons this isn't happy time for them, that's why Tarja decided to create dark versions of christmas songs that everyone knows, for those people who suffering in this time of the year.

In middle ages, Finland and Finnish people were feared all over Europe. There were many legends, stories and rumours - and the scariest one was the story about Northern Witches - Finnish witches, who held the keys to the underworld. They were the gatekeepers of Hell. So they have power over Demons, Hell and Death - so mere mortals were just insignificant lot to them. Finnish witches could kill them all with a glance of an eye. They were invincible. Tarja looked like them in that video - beautiful, but deadly.

Very profound christmas to both of you! Thank you for this reaction. This was previously unknown to me. I know better her traditional style to sing all these classics. At first she looked like Snowhites evil stepmother, but later she kind of tramsformed to be one of the forces of nature that was surrounding her. Aurora borealis, Lapland landscape above the tree-line and river running free despite the freesing temperature. Clearly she wants to renew the old ways to perform. And succeeded too, at least Coaches face showed how impressed he was although mrs said how picky he can be regarding to christmas songs. Huge thanks & happy Christmas! ..Kaisa from Finland

You're surprised, you don't know much about Tarja. Tarja is very gothic and can masterfully conjure up a mysterious and scary atmosphere. That's why she is also nicknamed "The Ice Queen of the North" I recommend listening to more of her work, for example "Witch hunt" or "An Empty Dream, Naiad and others
