Teacher in first question ( 학교 식당이 어디 있어요? ) Why she ask using 어디 not 어디에 ?

This is an old message BUT this maybe helpful for anyone else that looks! When in verbal conversation they tend to drop the 에 in 어디에

I guess the second on is the correct one, but the first one should also be fine in spoken korean.
