I actually like Love Beach. I just consider it a pop album and I think it does its job really well. Carl Palmer's drumming is spot on and Keith's classical piano on side 2 is great. I would give the entire thing a 6.5/10 .

If you ditched Taste Of My Love and the title track (they're doing what All I Want Is You did much better), you have a pretty great album.

Much talent on display with this album. Carl Palmer on aquatarkus is epic. You can also hear Gregg's bass just thumping thriugh the arena and of course Keith is a master. The most talented and underated live band in Rock. ☮️

I have the Sanctuary Love Beach from the early noughtied. Played once until I got the reissue a year or two. Some tracks are not bad, but still mainly pants. A cock up in the latest reissue as the titling if the extras is incorrect.

I have to find time for the live album, but I think the first four albums are legendary - both Tarkus and Brain Salad Surgery (in particular, Karn Evil 9) are nothing short of epic.

Only just got around to watching this one, not a big ELP fan. Have to really be in the mood, which isn't often. Having said that I've got the surround sound reissues. Never bothered with this one not even back in the day, like you, not a big fan of live albums. They were just a bit too much over the top for me. Keep doing what you do Mr Lock, always entertaining.

This quite a good live album, but it suffers as a result of the poor sound. Very hollow and distant. The pomposity is charming though. Especially the E L P inner design. I mean, talk about excess!
