A few that I have recommended that some of my friends that were curious: Camel-A live record, Beach Boys- Surfs up, Genesis- Selling England by the Pound, Either UK album, Rush- 2112, Soft machine-bundles, king Crimson- discipline, Return to forever- Romantic warrior

Prog bands used to make music in the 70es, then technical skill took the advantage and something was lost.

Ok. I got my notebook and I’ve sharpened my pencil. I’m listening. Chapter 1. Hmm…I’ll have to try and find that black triangle album. That Genesis Moving Pictures record sounds interesting. That last one looks a little bit scary!

@@BrockwaysVinylBytes I don’t know all of them. I don’t like Metallica but I am familiar with them. Newish metal doesn’t interest me, so no Tesseract. I’m also not the biggest DT fan. But all the others I can sing backwards forwards all while I’m sleeping.

@ilabelle1 bands like Haken and Tesseract are some of the leading lights in Prog territory these days… perhaps when I call them metal, their sound is not what immediately comes to mind for someone who’s never heard these groups before. Great bands anyway, if you feel inclined to check them out 🤘🤘🎶🎶

@@BrockwaysVinylBytes I have a couple of Haken albums. I actually prefer the instrumental version of Fauna. I prefer Riverside. I really like ID.Entity. Darius’ side project Lunatic Soul is really good as well.

Yes they are! I have seen a few of these musicians and bands in concert within the last 10 years 😃 great idea on the playlist as well!!!
