36:56 I am always so surprised by how so many people missunderstand the Miranda rights. Many people believe if you aren't told your Miranda rights you are free to go, but that isn't correct at all. All the rights are for is to make sure that the people under arrest are aware that anything they say can be used against them in court. If someone under arrest hasn't been told their Miranda rights before getting asked questions then those questions will be presumed to be involuntary and therefore not admissible in court. Some cops avoid this by asking the questions before declaring the suspect under arrest. A loop hole, certainly. Still as so many don't know this and how they have been so used to the wrong facts through possibly television shows I can understand why some would use this to trick their way out of situations. In the end, in this situation if the cops really did just agree to let you go on the wrong information regarding the Miranda rights then I feel you deserve to just be let go for that mistake, however the one guy knew what the rights were for so I would say that was more bending the rules for your own advantage.
